$9.50 for a $5.00 average bbq sandwich! No inside seating on a 93 degree day. Gnats galore. Do not eat here. Food is waaay overpriced!

Good BBQ, good sauce, good potato salad, good beans with pork in them. Just over priced. Great service. Good people. Very friendly. Glad we stopped.

We wanted to pick up lunch to enjoy while visiting the Providence State park. Lumpkin has very few options. We only saw 3 and ruled one out quickly. We chose to split our orders between the remaining 2. The BBQ ribs and chicken were ok but a bit dry and the potato salad and baked beans were good. The hot peanuts were not hot but appeared to be reheated. Being in the location it is, there is not much competition so you get what you get. If anything the staff was friendly but not overly helpful. I might recommend bringing your own lunch while visiting the area. If this was located in a populated area I think I would avoid it in the future, and I love supporting local businesses. Overpriced too for the little food you do receive. This is a conscious of 6 meals.

I was looking for restaurants to go to this weekend after we go to Providence Canyon. Based on the owner's responses to negative reviews on here, this will NOT be a stop for us. Restaurant owners need to understand that potential customers see their responses and this restaurant's negative and rude responses have made us completely uninterested in visiting them. There isn't a lot to eat in this area, but I'm more than willing to drive to another city so we won't have to deal with rude owners. They just lost potential customers. First impressions and good internet presence matter!

Smelt amazing and the lady in there was super nice. Down fall is they only take CASH and we had none... No cards accepted. So we didn't get to actually eat.

No frills BBQ joint with great food. Platters, sandwiches, gobs of meat, good sides, drive through window for call in orders. Great place where you always leave smelling of good BBQ.

The Southern style menu at Red Oak is all so awesome, I myself have eaten everything on the menu at different times, and have never had a complaint about any of it, it most definitely what you want, the delicious menu makes you keep going back, can't wait for the next Friday, which was my day to go eat. The chef there is an amazing cook. If you are reading this, don't take my word go try it for yourself, you will go back. God Bless you Mr. Farmer, (Owner), and Thanks, I CHOOSE RED OAK, IN AVERA GEORGIA

Stopped here before exploring Providence Canyon. The setting is an older home in which the owners also reside. There is not much seating inside & it was too cold to eat on the porch. Their living room is in view from the dining room & several signs on doors state "employees only this means you". Which I kind of understand since they do live there. Overall the BBQ is good & service (an owner) was fairly fast. Checking out is a little different since you go up front & an older gentleman figures your bill up. He seemed mad at the world, but never said a word. Price was a little high, but if you want decent food I don't think you have much choice in this town. Really wanted to try the pecan pie, but price per slice was a little high & I was satisfied with my lunch.

Came here close to closing on Sunday. Nice service the beans and cold slaw were good. The chopped pork is very good. The ribs were slow smoked so kinda rubbery. I am a no sauce guy but use the sauce. The pecan pie was just like momma bought. So for 40 bucks it was... The best meal I've had in Lumpkin County....

My co-workers and I stopped by for lunch and had the brisket lunch special which was very greasy and lack the pit BBQ favor. We all agreed that was not this was not a place that we would recommend to other co-workers.
