Just want to start by saying this is not a negative review but more of a general warning. My wife and I have been trying to eat healthier so we thought we would get some of the sugar free chocolates on vacation.. the sweetener used is Maltitol and it ended up making us both pretty ill. Cramping, bloating and worse..I'll spare the details lol.
We have used other sweeteners before like Stevia..etc.
Just be cautious and try 1 or 2 pieces and wait a few hours to see how you tolerate :)
By the way the candy was delicious and great flavors. The staff was so kind and helpful as well...just thought it was worth sharing this.

Very good. I ended up getting a box of the mini truffles and loved them. The mint chocolate was the best. The fudge was delightful and the staff was helpful in selecting the choices. I do with the Tiramisu was not a gel filling for texture sake

My family was in Blue Ridge for some tubing down the river and a cabin stay. Before leaving my dad recommended this chocolate shop. I went in and saw the variety of chocolate truffles behind the displays. I enjoy dark chocolate and had to get a box. 16 dark chocolate raspberry truffles, 16 dark chocolate Expresso truffles and 4 blueberry truffles (they were a bit bigger)
Service was good. Helped me in a timely manner after my dad made his selection of fudge.
The chocolates were so good. The Expresso flavor was great, but the raspberry and blueberry were amazing.
I'm coming back, because I owe a friend some good chocolates. Also because I do not trust ordering them in this heat.

I recommend the Key Lime Truffle. I thought it was pretty good. There is fudge and ice cream available as well. The staff is very kind.

I was incredibly disappointed with the candy I bought here. I bought peanut butter buckeyes, which I love and was really looking forward to, as well as the chocolate turtles. Both candies had barely any flavor, and the flavor they did have tasted fake. Not like fresh candy I would expect from a candy store. Also, the employee was just okay. He said to let him know if I needed any help, but that was it. He didn't make any effort to talk to me or try to figure out what I might like best. And I was the only customer there! If I were looking for candy in Blue Ridge, I would go elsewhere.

One scoop in cup, one scoop in cone, and a double in a cone was $18.60. Decent ice cream but not as many flavors as most places. Get the fudge instead!

Fudge is creamy but the snickers is just chocolate fudge with a layer of peanuts. A total letdown. The truffles are to die for!!

The truffles are all so delicious - we tried at least 5 different ones and they were all perfection. The fudge was good, not the best I've ever had, but very close! The snickers was a letdown - it's just a layer of peanuts between chocolate fudge.

I first visited the Chocolate Express several years ago on a trip. I actually visited a coffee shop nearby and bought a couple of truffles there to try out then noticed this shop and decided to try a couple to compare in addition to some fudge! Once I tried both, the Chocolate Express by far was better. I decided to go back before I headed home. Unfortunately, they were closed so I missed out that day haha! But I visited the next time I was in Blue Ridge then realized I could order online which was such a treat! I have ordered online a few times and love it every time! I have called the shop to ask questions in the past and I have been in person a couple times. Everyone is always so nice and helpful! For my most recent order I actually ordered some treats for my birthday. I received a call saying the delivery service somehow got it mixed up and sent it to another location! Overall I knew the delivery services had been going a bit slower with the holidays so I definitely do not blame the shop for that and honestly expected a later arrival considering the holidays and black friday. When I received the call from the store and was told about the issue, i was told that they would be sending a replacement and just to call back if the original order were to somehow get back to me. It meant a lot that they noticed the order hadn't arrived and that they called and planned to resolve the issue so that I could get what I ordered. I will gladly visit and order from The Chocolate Express again!Thank you for all yall do! I hope I have many more chances to order from your shop!

The Häagen-Dazs chocolate ice cream on the waffle cone was good. The mini kid's cone was perfect quantity for little ones.
