“This place is definitely our go-to butcher shop! James and Douglas are down to earth guys who serve up slices and slabs perfect for the grill! Bonus: they offer some really neat Brazilian items on their shelves, and have a beautiful display of cutlery and serving tools. We live about 25 minutes away and they are worth the drive Everytime. Excited to see them grow and expand!!!”

“Got fish and shrimp multiple times from Astra Fresh, and no complaints at all. Fish cleaning and cuts are perfect, so it’s just take home and cook! Sea food always felt fresh and good to taste. Pricey but worth it!”
“Bought a sirloin steak for around $13 a pound (I believe) and a NY strip steak. Both were incredibly tasty and high quality. Friendly service from the butcher who cut a piece fresh for me when their display section cuts were all taken at end of day. A good sign. Would come here again.”

“My husband and I have been coming here for what I feel has been over a year!! When I say you feel at home In this place I mean it. They make note to remember who you are, what your favorites are. I’m known for buying banana pudding weekly and I cannot be blamed with how good it is. I tell Lauren, the woman behind the magic of some of the homemade desserts that she puts some love in it everytime I buy it. The meats are a different story, I won’t buy meat anywhere else. You taste the difference and the quality is unmatched. I rave about this place to everyone and have had people tell me thank you for telling them about Wilkes!”
“Went there for the first time today, it was really nice. All the staff/shopkeepers were very nice and their selection was good too. Honey was amazing, and so were eggs. Only downside is they do NOT have raw milk. Everything else is peachy.”

“This is a great place!
Well trained staff, excellent and fresh products, a nice place to eat good quality Mexican food. Decent bathrooms. The place is clean and neat. The checking out area has 3 stations. Spacious parking area.
Next to the main building they have another building where they sell bread and tortillas recently prepared.
Carniceria Hernández has a big clientele and a well gained reputation among the community.”

“The best tacos in Georgia are served here. Try the carne asada and al pastor tacos and don't forget to get some flan or tres leches and an horchata and some Mexican chili mango candy!
Tip: try the picana here. Pair it with ceviche and some Mexican rice!
