Absolutely 5/5. My pet was in a urgent need of care after being stuck on the Christmas tree and this place tended to us within an hour! I am grateful for their reassurance and helping my pet feel better!

I've never felt so awkward trying to carry on friendly conversation and ask about aftercare of the 3 cats I had spayed and neutered. Not a friendly staff. At. All. Definitely not the friendly service you receive at Gordon Animal Hospital, who we normally use but they did not accept the Spay Georgia certificates we had. I'd rather pay full price somewhere that I know my pets are well cared for and where the staff knows how to show personal relations.

Horrible. Were rude to my dogs and us BOTH times we went before they spay, then the day of the spay, it took maybe 2 hours for them to get done, when I picked they up they were both still pretty sedated and one of my girls was still bleeding (said it was drainage and “not to worry”) was given no aftercare instructions, asked for pain meds and they said it “wasn’t necessary”. One of my babies (same baby that was bleeding) spay spot skin was flipped over and look liked they had butchered her, she also ended up having pyrometra (which means THEY left a part of her uterus or ovaries when they did it) 2,000 dollars later in er visits and my baby luckily came out safe and okay. HIGHLY do not recommend, they almost killed my baby. Thanks to a wonderful vets office my baby is okay and home safe. I was told I should have received, cones, aftercare instructions AND pain medication which are all highly recommended.

This group has been fantastic with our dog. We brought her in, they performed surgery the next day, and she seems to be doing very well as she recovers. They've been super helpful with us for her insurance as well. Thank you so much!

Do not come here! Our beloved cat died shortly after a simple neuter surgery here. We had many feral cats but started with the one we were closest too because it was easier that way. Big mistake ?I purchased 8 spay/neuter vouchers from SpayGeorgia to help keep the unwanted cat population in this county down.Taking my time to catch them and keep them in my home while they heal and go through these procedures all while I homeschool my kids is taking up my entire summer but Calhoun Pet Care Veterinary Clinic has joined the other clinics in being unhelpful towards the spaying and neutering of the cats in our community and the 1 cat they did neuter came back unshaven, no stitches at site of surgery and died shortly afterwards after lots of vomiting and diarrhea. If you want to save yourself time and heartache in the big picture, go to Georgia Animal Project in Ball Ground. They actually care about the animals and their surgery process is smooth and seamless. The animals come back perfectly shaved and well stitched at the surgery area. You will be required to purchase extra pain medication so that the cats are comfortable and not going crazy post surgery.

I took my Little Red (dog) cause she jumped off the porch and was hurt. And Calhoun Pet Care recognized what was wrong with her and told me that she has blown out both of her knees ?. And they also gave me names of animal surgeons that would help. I appreciate them. I just want to say thank you ?. ❤️???

I told myself 4 years ago (after having a 14 year old dog euthanized here and having snarky remarks made to me by Dr Hogan (wow)) that I would never come here again. Silly me, I went back 4 years later bc I was in a pinch for boarding 3 dogs. Nothing has changed. It’s only about the money for them. This is NOT your hometown vet that cares for people or pets. BEWARE.

Calhoun Pet Care made sure this helicopter pup momma was set to ease today. X-rays for a swollen jaw and meds for home care. Staff was kind and made us feel welcome.

We've quit taking our dogs here. If your dog gets suddenly sick you can forget about them squeezing you in or even attempting to make accommodations. Also, apparently they reserve afternoon appointments for vaccines and such... nothing that requires a diagnosis.
