In the very beginning, I was hesitant about shopping at this location due to the name Southern Ace Hardware. The atmosphere, the location, had me a little cautious about shopping at this store due to the name SOUTHERN ACE HARDWARE but I decided to give it a shot. The store was very clean an very well stocked with the products I was looking for when I walked in. NO ONE offered to help me initially. I continued to browse for about 15 minutes before being asked if I needed help. I noticed that once I began to ask questions, I was approached by several of the stores team members, which gave me an uncomfortable feeling. After making my decision, everything seemed to be ok until I decided to make a second purchase. The young teenage girl at the register was looking at me very strangely as if she really did not want to help me because I was a BLACK MAN then when I paid for my item, she placed my receipt on the counter and not in my hand and that was very rude of her she did this because of my skin color! After my purchase, I had to call I had to call Ace Hardware customer service for some additional help, but I was satisfied in the end. Thank you.

We had to get some mud boots for my hubby and granddaughter while we were visiting family in Carrollton, Ga. We were told to try Ace Hardware. As we approached the place I kept thinking "Where is it, all I see is a big warehouse?" Well. It WAS the Ace. Biggest I had ever seen. We went it and the guy and lady working were so very friendly, kind and helpful! The most amazing trip to a Ace ever! I can not say enough about the place! 5 starts isn't really enough for this place. Wish I had got their names, it was Nov 10th and maybe around 7ish. Also, a beautiful cat was upstairs, YES UPSTAIRS!

I haven't been in here in awhile and went in a few days ago to find that the store had been remodeled ?, and I must say I was NOT impressed at all with the new look of it ????. I think it was much more inviting and interesting to shop in with the older layout. Things were easier to find and it was much more like an county store and had a more home town feel to it.

All ACE hardware stores are overpriced but this one has things you don't find at every ACE and it's a overall good place for outdoor and garden finds

I like the idea that I don't have to purchase a minimum when I purchase chicks. I understand why others do it, however, I have a flock. Just needed some to go with the one egg I had hatch.

I hold that Ace Hardware, and this Ace Hardware in particular, is always a pleasurable experience. I don't often go to Ace for tools because I find the company expensive in this regard. However, this Ace in Carrollton is one of my favorite stores. From the superbly helpful employees to the cats who make the shop home, I always feel like I'm sitting near a fire in winter with a good book. Today I purchased a few plants for my just completed flower bed. The quality of the plants here is excellent.

I was in search of number drill bits, and these are normally an online order item. I was really surprised to see Ace Hardware stocking the entire number range, which really helped me out as I needed these drill bits urgently. Staff was also very friendly - would recommend checking this store out first for any hardware needs!
