I stood in line at the pharmacy for 40 minutes and when I finally was able to pickup my medication, they didn’t even know where it was!! The head pharmacist tossed my prescription at me. This is unbelievable and unacceptable. It’s a shame that CVS is the only place I can have my specialized medication delivered to.

I rarely ever leave reviews, but this experience at CVS Pharmacy deserves to be shared in full. My granddaughter was recently diagnosed with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease — a painful condition that causes sores and ulcers inside the mouth, making it almost impossible for little ones to eat, drink, or sleep comfortably. Her doctor prescribed a “Magic Mouthwash” to help ease her pain and sent the prescription electronically to CVS. What happened after that was beyond frustrating and disheartening.
A few hours after the doctor sent the prescription, my daughter went to pick it up only to be told that CVS hadn’t received it yet. She waited, hoping it would come through soon. Later that evening, around 6 p.m., my son-in-law returned to the pharmacy, and the pharmacist, Tony, informed him that the medication would not be ready until tomorrow. Imagine hearing that when you have a child crying in pain and unable to eat or sleep.
When my daughter called to tell me what was going on, I immediately picked up the phone and called CVS myself to speak with Tony. I calmly explained that my granddaughter was suffering, that she had ulcers covering her mouth, and that she desperately needed the medicine that night — not “tomorrow.” Instead of compassion, I was met with rudeness and excuses. Tony told me they were short-staffed and that the doctor had submitted the prescription incorrectly. I told him that none of that was the child’s fault, and that she still needed her medication prepared as soon as possible.
I stayed on the phone with him for quite some time, practically begging him to show a little empathy and help get the prescription filled. Eventually, after much back and forth, he reluctantly agreed to fill it that evening — but his attitude made it clear he wasn’t happy about it.
When my daughter went back to CVS to finally pick it up, she stood at the counter for over 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged her presence. Tony eventually said he was “working on it,” but it took nearly another full hour before she finally walked out with the medicine in her hand. During that time, she said she saw multiple other customers waiting just as long — some for 25 to 30 minutes — before even being greeted or spoken to by a staff member.
This level of service is simply unacceptable, especially in a pharmacy where people depend on timely medication — often for urgent or painful conditions. The lack of compassion, poor communication, and dismissive attitude from Tony was shocking. If you dislike dealing with people or have zero empathy, maybe pharmacy isn’t the right profession. People come to pharmacies in distress — sick, hurting, worried — and the last thing they need is someone who acts bothered or inconvenienced by their pain.
To be clear, I understand that everyone has tough days and that being short-staffed can make things harder. But how you treat people still matters, especially when children are involved. My granddaughter finally got her medicine that night, but only because I pushed for it — and that shouldn’t be how this system works.
CVS needs to address the customer service and staffing issues at this location immediately. People deserve pharmacists who care about helping their patients, not ones who act like compassion is too much to ask for.

I called for my diabetes medicine, but the way IN DESPERATE NEED. I understand that they didn’t have the medication but I have called numerous of times and either got no call back or got a call and when everything was said and done I got hung up on immediately very rudely. I am very dissatisfied in the customer service, because it’s not my fault that I was passed down with diabetes and now I can’t even get the time to get help to receive my medication that is LITERALLT keeping me alive. Y’all need to do better. The rudeness was not needed.

The absolutely worst place I've ever been and absolutely will NOT be going back. At 825pm my Dr sent very important medicine I desperately needed, was warned by said Dr of the practices of this pharmacy to LIE to people and say the order was not received, which is EXACTLY what they did. AFTER making me YELL MY FULL NAME, BIRTHDAY, AND ADDRESS ACROSS THE COUNTER TO THE OTHER COMPUTER COUNTER SO THE ENTIRE STORE COULD HEAR MY ENTIRE PERSONAL INFORMATION. THEN HAVING TO REPEAT THE INFORMATION BECAUSE THE OLDER GUY COULD NOT HEAR WELL. HE THEN CONFIRMED WHERE I JUST CAME FROM TO THEN TELL ME THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PRESCRIPTION?! The amount of pain and issues I am currently having during this medical episode has been very difficult to function and that was the absolute worst feeling of helplessness as I had no choice but to give him said information in that manner. I truly hope my information does not get compromised! NEVER USE THE PHARMACY!!!

I called 3 days in a row to get my depression meds filled. On the fourth day I called and had to be rude and then had to deal with them not wanting even fill it. It's ridiculous that I had to have mental issues because cvs didnt want ro do their job.

The pharmacy staff is beyond terrible. It is very clear they hate their lives and jobs. It's sad that people who are in charge of getting people their medications would atleast take their job seriously.

I’m impressed with the young woman at the cash register. I was in a hurry and left my change at the self checkout. She stated that the woman behind me proceeded to pick up my change and put it in her purse and she stopped it from happening. When I returned later, the cashier remembered me and said “You left 10 dollars and went to the cash register to get the 10 bill I left.

Took a LONG TIME for someone to answer the phone‼️
The list of options had nothing to do with why I was calling.
You need a “speak to representative” option just to get to a human‼️🤯

Cedartown cvs pharmacy is a poorly ran pharmacy. My doctor called in mediction yesterday at noon, my wife went by to pick it up at 6 pm last night. They told her it would be one hour before it was ready. I told her I would pick it up tomorrow. Went by today at 10 am and they told me it would be 25 minutes before it was ready. This happens all the time. Cvs is the worst pharmacy i have ever dealt with. If it was not for our insurance company making us use them I would go somewhere else. We had to use them for the past 3 years. They use the excuse that they are short handed. If you are short handed for that long of a time it should tell you that you have a problem and have the wrong people in charge.

This is by far, the worst pharmacy in Polk county, and if your insurance has you locked in like mine, don't waste 10 months going to them because nothing will get better, your prescription will never be filled within a timely manner, if at all. I'm officially changing my entire insurance plan so I'll be able to go to a different pharmacy after this month.
