Horrible service, if I could give it 0 stars I would. First off there hours online arnt even their actual hours of operation. They are only open one day a week from 10am-2pm. When I tried to call no one ever picked up. I went to the shelter since I had a few questions. The inside had a very strong nasty Oder, things were not the cleanest and when I had asked for help with a question I had the lady that helped me was not only very rude but very unhelpful. She kept cutting me off and rushed me out of the building without ever really helping. I feel so bad for the animals that get taken there. These pets deserve kind people who work with them as well as a clean environment. I definitely don’t recommend getting an animal here or supporting this shelter. If they treat people this way to their face who knows what horrible things they do to those animals behind closed doors.

We went during the week and was advised that they are only open to the public on Saturday which is ridiculous but what is more ridiculous we went back that same week on Saturday and they were still not open. So much for trying to get a dog there!

I have been volunteering here since Aug '22. This is an amazing group of unpaid volunteers doing all they can with limited resources for the animals in their care. Regarding adoption fees: These fees often barely scrape the surface of vet costs incurred by the shelter for spay/neuter, vaccinations, surgeries/other emergency treatment needed, etc. Regarding adoption requirements: Proper vetting of applicants is in the best interest of the furbabies, to ensure adoptions are a good fit and to prevent returns to the shelter. I'd encourage those bashing the shelter with one star reviews to actually come spend a few hours volunteering with us to see for themselves how hard everyone is working to help these animals get the best life possible.

Our shelter might not be the newest, prettiest, or fanciest - but you won't find a more dedicated group of caring volunteers, working tirelessly to keep the place running smoothly and finding the best possible home for every pet in our care. Yes, our screening process for potential adopters might seem "picky" to some, but it is in the best interest of the animals, to ensure they go to homes that are ready for them physically, financially, and emotionally. To anyone with complaints about us being "under staffed", or our building looking "run down", please remember that we are run and funded ENTIRELY by volunteers - we have no PAID staff. Instead of taking photos of our building and posting negative reviews online, I would like to encourage you to instead use that time and energy to come volunteer with us. We are doing our best. ?

A wonderful organization that truly loves and cares for all of its residents. The volunteers put in a ton of time and energy to take care of all the babies while they await their forever home.?

Both of our dogs were adopted from here. Yes, you may have to wait to hear back on your application and yes, the process can take some time but it requires patience to have a pet.
So if you don't have the patience for the adoption process...maybe you aren't the ideal pet parent.
Keep in mind that this is a volunteer-only organization, not a pet store. If you are unhappy with how things are done, please think about submitting a volunteer application and helping out.

As a non-profit, this organization is hands down the heart of animals in Warner Robins. Not only are needs met, they go above and beyond to reach animals in need. Volunteers are spread thin, worn out, and tired, yet they come in, taking care of their community first. Countless lives are saved every day because of them.
Application times are long sometimes. This is a volunteers based community. Funding comes from donations and the bare minimum grants...which means Funding is always low. They have new volunteers all the time, signage, rules, and note are placed all around in order to keep things running more efficiently and safely. This organization is not something to come in and judge based off of the first look. It is not supposed to look "professional" or "esthetically pleasing". This is a knees deep into poo organization. They understand that what they do is hard, dirty, time consuming, and yet the volunteers come back. The building may be run down, so what? Those animals are safe. They are fed, loved and taken care of. More people should try to help in any way they can. Funding, volunteers, and dedication is not easy to come by. This organization is the beating heart and the the people who run it.
