I have a 15 year old Yorkie. The lil guy is the love of my life. He is deaf, has doggie dementia, has eye problems and the biggest problem is his kidney disease. We've been working with the amazing people at Banfield for the past few months trying to get Sugar feeling better. They showed my husband and I how to do daily at home IV fluid treatments and the turnaround that Sugar has shown is amazing!! I believe we would have needed to put him down due to poor quality of life a while ago if it weren't for them helping us get his treatments right! The pictures show the positive progression over the last 4+ months. I didn't get to really give my sincerest gratitude to Dr. Nicole Doyle-Edwards and her vet techs for taking great care of my dog, Chowder, in the clinic. I know that he can be a lot to deal with when it comes to taking care of a painful ear infection, but she really put my mind at ease with the in-patient to out-patient treatment plan, and both myself and Chowder are feeling a lot better already post-ear-cleaning! I'm confident in the rest of his recovery because of Dr. Doyle-Edwards and her team, and I appreciate them so much! I wish I could have said it more in-person, but I'll say it here! Thank you so much for helping us.

TLDR: banfield is great but avoid this location at all costsFirstly, before getting into the bad, I’d like to say I have always had great experiences at Banfield. I’ve been taking my baby to the Decatur location for many years and have had nothing but the best service and care. Absolutely zero complaints. In January my baby had a skin flare up that needed attention and magically there was an appointment available at this location. I probably should have taken this as a warning sign, usually my store is booked up weeks in advance. The actual appointment went well, got great advice on the skin issue and ordered heart worm medication since we were due in about a month. Now my dog takes a very specific heart worm medication that needs to be ordered and send to my house instead of picking up. I never received anything about the order so I called about a week or so later to double check. The folks at the front desk were slightly confused but quickly let me know that yes indeed the meds were ordered and on their way. Still nothing had shown up in the mail but I assumed that they were on their way. When we got to the week that she was due for another dose, the medication was still not there. I called back and let them know the situation and it turns out the medication was never ordered. I legitimately do not know why they lied to me, I guess to save face from not ordering them for me in the first place? It doesn’t make much since- I would have been fine with forgetting to order them and then placing that order when I called to check on the status. Ultimately that’s what I had to do anyway but instead we were late getting the medication which puts my dog at risk.I don’t appreciate being lied to especially when my little one ends up getting hurt in the process. It’s wild I have to say this, but don’t go to this location because they will literally lie to your face about services rendered. I’m currently looking for a new vet which sucks because banfield has been nothing but perfect until now. I can’t justify continuing to go here if I can’t trust the information I’m being given, especially when it comes to the health of my best friend.

I am not one to write reviews; however, I had the absolute worst experience at this Banfield today. I would give it 0 stars if possible. This was directly tied to the manager, Nicki Oginni and how she handled the situation. This all occurred at Banfield Chamblee GA Sunday 2/11 at 2:15pm EST. I called earlier this week to report my dog having stress diarrhea and asked for them to fill him a prescription. The front desk attendant said "no problem" and went and and talked to the vet and the vet called in a prescription of Metronidazaole. I was told to come pick it up at the front desk anytime! I called 30 minutes before arriving today to confirm and notified them that I was on my way to pick it up, they said come on in.When I got there, I was handed the prescription bottle with my dogs name on it and I noticed on the pill bottle that the dosage looked wrong. It said to take 1 tablet every 30 days for 6 months. I knew that this is a 1x a day for 6 days medicine. I told them this information and the front desk attendant went to the back to confirm. She left me standing there for 20+ minutes and comes back to rudely say "It is a whole thing and a "long story", the nurse will be out."The nurse or manager Nicki Orginni comes out very rude again to tell me they can not give me the prescription. To reiterate, this is a prescription I have already paid in full for, have my dogs name on it and been given. The pill bottle is in my hand and I have already been charged. It has a label on the outside with my dogs name on it and saying RSX date 2/7/2024. The nurse, Nicki Originni, said it is illegal for me to take it and there are cameras inside. This was mentioned multiple times as if I was doing something wrong. Nicki kept saying "there are cameras you are being recorded" as I have PAID in full for a prescription they gave me. I got the prescription they called me in and I paid for. I did nothing wrong and this was an error on their end. This all is AFTER they prescribed it to my dog, I paid for it and was about to leave. Nicki demands the pill bottle back AFTER I have paid for it. I broke down in tears and Nicki Originni took the pill bottle back. This is truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been a Banfield member since 2019. I will be fully canceling my plan and moving to a local vet. I also will be stressing to anyone with a dog to NOT go here. This is unacceptable, horrific customer service and it is ILLEGAL on their end to take pills back from a customer they prescribed and the customer has paid for. I will be following up promptly with Banfield corporate to ensure this is handled so it does not happen to anyone else.

We switched to this Banfield (even though it's not the closest one to us) from Perimeter and we're very happy with them. I could never get a timely appointment at the other one and they always kept us waiting way too long. I can always get in if my dog is sick and they are very responsive. Some of the front desk staff could be a little friendlier, but overall they are great with our animals. And most importantly you can get in when you need to

We moved recently and had a 2 hr drive round trip in the rain because I love the care Loki has received. We were out of anxiety meds and I asked if he could use his training collar for his services today. The rudest nurse Adama came out. "He won't be doing nothing today". Rude, curt and zero bedside manner. She did not even walk over to my dog. I'm a nurse myself. Wow.

This location and the one in Norcross are both great but please Chamblee change your hours of operation on google and your door to reflect your actual hours. It’s very frustrating and inconvenient to drive here after work to find you are close at 6 rather than 7 like your door and hours of operation states.

The low rating is due to the Banfield corporate system, not the vets. They never answer the phone about billing problems, they couldn't change their misnaming my dog, and they will send you to collections the minute you miss a payment, no notification, no calls, no emails or letters. And this happened after the payment card was stolen.

I could not warn against Banfield more. From my wife and my own experiences they are actively allowing sick and unwell dogs to leave their clinic without properly examining them. My wife and I had two elderly dogs (one was 12 at the time of the visit, the other 10), both of which were seen at Banfield for specific symptoms and both of which left without proper treatment or diagnosis. When we took our first dog in, Banfield gave us cough medicine for her. We later found out the cough stemmed from congestive heart failure and the symptoms she presented would not suggest some sort of canine cold/flu. We brought our other dog in with concerns about limping and a lump on one of his legs. We brought him in twice and specifically asked that they examine the lump on his leg. Banfield initially didn't say anything about the lump following the first visit, and following the second visit disregarded it as arthritis (which makes no sense given its presentation and the asymmetry of the lump). We took him to a different vet recently as we were concerned Banfield was not properly diagnosing our dog's condition, and within two minutes of the examination by the second vet, the lump identified as possibly bone cancer, which was confirmed following x-rays. We lost five months of planning and treatment for our second dog because Banfield did not do their due diligence in examining him. I am sure Banfield is adequate if you have a young, healthy dog, but I'm not sure I would trust that at this point. I hope this review helps someone to ensure their pet is properly evaluated and treated.

I've with them for a month and I couldn't be happier. The staff are awesome, the area clean and price is reasonable. I highly recommend!

My original veterinarian clinic was extremely expensive and never offered up their care plans. Also I was charged for services that were never rendered. We adopted our second pup and the owner filled us in on Banfield in Chamblee. They are awesome! Very thorough and truly caring! Their care plans vary due to age and needs of your pet and not costly at all. Most of all Tuxedo and Theo give them 4 paws up!

The doctors are nice but the staff that answers or greets you are not very welcoming. My dog had an emergency and they put me on hold for 20-30 mins. They need to restaff the whole front desk. This location sucks unfortunately

The wound on my dog after her surgery was loose, so I took it back, and when I got home, it had gotten worse than when I took her. I called and was told to take it to an emergency clinic. It cost me over $800 to spayed. To undergo what they did, I had to pay more money. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO BANFIELD ON CHAMBLEE!!!!

Doctors are nice. Customer service of everyone else is terrible. Not very welcoming. I’m not sure if they treat everyone the same based off of bad customers. But everyone is not a bad customer. Need to work on attitudes. Not welcoming. How do you expect people to trust that their fur babies are safe when you don’t even welcome the parents in a nice manner. Learn how to match energy ladies. If I approach you nice and welcoming I expect the same treatement and if you can’t do that then get a new job cause I’m not leaving my Pup with a bunch of bad energy women. They need to have a training on customer service at this location. When the doctor called she was very nice tho maybe the doctors scan give the others some tips on tone and energy. So that they aren’t just stuffing their face with food and having bad service.
