I am a 35+ year ASE Certified Master Technician, alignment specialist and small business owner. I meticulously replaced all the front-end parts of my 1972 Dodge Dart collector car with upgraded performance pieces. After discussing at length with Keno about the need for alignment as a result of upgraded components he assured me they could and seemed put-off that I would question their ability. I explained that several shops said they could not and I wanted to make sure they could before I drove the vehicle out of specs. Out of specs meaning it's hard to turn the wheel creating a hazardous situation; I'm risking the safety of myself, the vehicle and drivers around me during operation. After his attitude and assurance, I made the appointment at Firestone in Chamblee. I drove my car to their location... again, risking the safety of the vehicle, myself and other drivers only for the Service Writer Christopher Conway to tell me (after talking to technician Xavier) they could not because they didn't have the shims and the front end was way out of alignment. I told him my vehicle did not require shims and it would come within specs. He said, "how do you know for sure?" I said, "because I am an ASE Certified Master Tech with 35 years of experience". He said "since you're an ASE Master Tech, go get an alignment rack and do it yourself". I said "Keno continually assured me you could, why would he tell me that if you couldn't?" He said "take your problem to corporate" I turned around to leave as he followed me waving his card saying "call corporate, call corporate". Obviously corporate could care less otherwise he wouldn't have been so adamant about me calling them. Their empty parking lot and 2.5 stars speak for themselves. I ended up taking my car to Gran Turismo with a slammed parking lot full of business and 4.7-star reviews. They took the time to address all of my concerns, even asking me to assist by sitting in the car to include my weight as the driver and to turn the wheel while it was being performed. I used to work for Nissan and did the same thing from time to time when I had customers with unusual alignment situations. I will never use Firestone again or recommend it to my customers, in fact stay away from Firestone. If you are reading this, take your car to Gran Turismo East in Chamblee, they are more reasonable, employ qualified alignment technicians and will get your vehicle done quickly and accurately. If I could give zero stars I would. Made us pay for things we didn’t need and didn’t address the problem. Got stranded at the airport from a dead battery after they charged us $400 to replace it the first time. Came back and they quoted us $1200 to replace the alternator. We told them it was the auxiliary battery based on research we did on our make and model. They said it was fine and reiterated the alternator is what was bad. We took it to another place for a second opinion (after they charged us another $20 to look at the car again) and they replaced the auxiliary battery that we told firestone was the problem in the first place and now the car is having no problems. Will NEVER go here again.

The manager on duty 12/27 was very rude to my grandfather, making snarky comments when he simply wanted his tire patched. As a manager, your primary responsibility is customer service. Take your business to some of the 12 other shops on peachtree industrial. Express Oil Change is much more professional.

Had a noise in the suspension. It was diagnosed as being the Hub Assembly. Paid almost a grand (1K). The noise is still there. I have mixed reviews.All the customer can do is trust the mechanic's word/recommendations...I have no way of verifying that the work was really done except to go somewhere else and spend even more money. All I know is the noise is still there and it does not sound like a tire.If I spend a grand to do anything, it should be perfect. Wish I knew an honest mechanic right about now.

If this has 0 star can be chosen, I will do that way. The last time I appointed for alignment, they didn’t even road test first and after. After they done the alignment, my car slide left when my steering wheel is straight. So I returned and feedback the question. However, they said this problem came from my aftermarket suspension , negative camber and control arms. It’s ridiculous that I never had this issue after I customized my 5 cars which all equipped aftermarket suspension and done with negative camber. So I went to other Firestone store to do the alignment and they done my car’s alignment perfectly and more professional without any issue. Anyway, this store didn’t solve the problem but suspect my car has problems . Never back to this store again!

I had my AC checked here as it wasn’t blowing cold. They first did A/C recharge and evac and charged me $350. I thought that was all. But it wasn’t. Still it didn’t blow cold.I went there again on a Sunday and within few minutes, the store manager came back and told me that your compressor isn’t working right. It stops intermittently. I wondered if that was the case then first diagnosis was wrong and they unnecessarily did recharge and evac in first visit. I was reading online and asked them to check fuse and relay. But the manager rudely told me “Let the mechanic do their job”. And they told me to change compressor which would cost me another $750. My $350 for recharge and evac was stuck with these guys and going to another place was not correct move. So I agreed and asked them to get the parts. They wanted to keep my car for longer so I brought it again next weekend to change compressor and paid $750.I hoped now it would blow cold. Well, it didn’t.I brought my car again 4th time. They checked it again for few hours. Then called me to say that it’s fixed now. This time they didn’t charge me since I just paid $750. I asked them what was it? They said they had to change the relay. Wow!! Not that makes me wonder if my compressor was faulty at all?The manager still insisted the compressor was faulty. But I don’t know. Basically, in 4 visits I paid $1100 to change a compressor here, which I am not sure if that was needed at all. I wouldn’t trust these guys for anything more than oil change or alignment. Just stay away. I had truly awful experience here. I can attach all receipts for all my visits here. They really need to put customers first for a successful business which they claim to do.

I like to go to the locations at Memorial Drive and Peachtree Industrial. The service is really good and I feel confident that the service they provide is necessary and completed. They are always quick to start working on my car.

3 trips and 600.00 plus later Chris still did not have my ac fixed. Laughed when I took it back on ladt trip to check freon and said I could lv it. He said no come back Monday. I live in fayetteville ga and at least 1 hr away. I would NEVER go back to his shop. I even bought my parts for ac he lied said on back order then may have to replace whole line. I called him 4 times and not once did he call me. I had to go back since I was already out so much. Never fixed it and lied. No dye run through my car and charged for it 2 times. I was having excessive car troubles and had to leave my car with them for several days for an assessment, which was obviously quite stressful. Keno and Amey were always very pleasant, honest, and patient with me each time I called for updates. I can highly recommend this location.
