If you are looking for a daycare/learning center, this is the one to choose! My children have attended a few different centers over the years and Academy For Little People is the gold standard! Not only does my daughter love it, but I love it. They have wonderful communication with parents and the very few times I did have a concern or question to bring up it has always been met with professionalism, care and was addressed immediately. I have read other reviews for ALP about high turnover rate. In my experience with 4 different daycares over the last 7 years, there is less turnover at ALP than other daycares in the area. But turnover is the nature of the business in a profession that is often used as a stepping stone toward other careers. Our favorite two year-old teacher there left not because she wasn't happy, but because she graduated college and got a full time teaching job. Turn over will happen and not everyone gets along in any place of business 100% of the time. And I do not work there so I cannot speak to the ins and outs of employee satisfaction other than to say I always feel that their vibe is uplifting and the kind of environment I want my child to be in. The 3 year old classroom teachers Kayla and Hannah Beth are so wonderful and I love hearing from my little one all the fun activities she has done and what she has learned everyday. Thanks to everyone at ALP for giving a mama peace of mind knowing I leave my kiddo in such caring hands everyday.

I cannot stress enough the amount of hostility that this place is filled with, towards each other and the kids. The other reviews are all mostly by parents, stating their children have grown throughout their time there. Well, that’s probably because their children were picked as “favorites” and have gotten special treatment, or the kids are just too young to have any better understanding of what they are experiencing. Work wise, they are very desperate to hire because everyone quits after being treated poorly by management or “higher ups.” Numerous people cannot even complete 2 weeks notice without having to walk out, following the passive aggressive behavior and lack of respect. I hadn’t worked here but 2 months, and saw 3 people walk out. I have a serious medical condition which is considered a liable disability. They do not have any sort of concern about the fact that I could have a seizure on the spot and drop a child. It was a major inconvenience that I needed to step out and take my medication for epilepsy, I got an “Ugh, I guess.” I was once VOMITING IN THE ROOM WITH INFANTS, but told to stay and work “unless I was dying.” Unconcerned about spreading disease to babies. I had an “episode,” due to other diagnosed health issues. “We need you to be here so other employees can leave.” I overheard conversations, with my own ears, happening at the front desk that they want to comment “no one gives a **** about your problems” etc. on posts raising mental health awareness…in a facility where actual children under their care are at a very developmental age. The pay is not even SLIGHTLY worth what you will have to put up with. (You will be promised a raise…it will never come). I have never worked for an organization that is so hateful, but hides it so well. Please consider this before enrolling your children or applying for a job. I don’t usually write reviews for things, but I am now, because I have grown to love the kids I worked with, as well as my coworkers. They all deserve so much better.

Both of my girls (2 and 8 months) go there and I couldn't be happier with the teachers and the people that work there. ❤

I cannot say enough great things about Academy for Little People! They have truly been a blessing. When we had our daughter, I was so apprehensive about returning to work and putting her in daycare, but everyone at ALP was so kind and welcoming. Starting her there was one of the best decisions we have ever made, so when we had our second child I had ZERO worries about returning to work and starting him at ALP. Every class we have been in has been incredible, and EVERY person that works there knows every child by name. I truly cannot recommend Academy for Little People enough! We love ALP!

Our son has attended ALP since he was seven months old. He is now three years old. We have been blessed with wonderful, caring, and loving teachers throughout each age group. He loves his school, teachers, and friends. We are thankful and blessed to be part of the ALP family!

My boys have been there for years and one is now in the pre-k room and the other in the three year old room. They love it there and we have been extremely happy. The staff is friendly and caring. We have always had a good experience and would recommend to anyone.

Don’t try to go to work here! At first I wondered why they were always so desperate to hire people. Well it’s because once you’re hired they all treat you very badly. They can’t keep any help. Most the lead teachers and the office personnel are older women that have been there for a while and they talk about everyone no matter what. .....Parents and employees! They’re very rude to their employees if you’re not a lead teacher. They have refused to give me my last 32 hour check!

They did a psychological evaluation on my two year old son and said there was nothing behind his eyes, he lacked empathy and was on a "war path". A freaking two year old!

My son has been here since he was around 9 months old. Up until that point I felt he would be better cared for in a home environment so I opted to use a small in home daycare that had so few children it didn't even qualify as a daycare and was not regulated. I was wrong in that decision because my tiny little baby ended up getting hit in the head with a metal baseball bat. It was a complete accident, but an accident that could have cost him his life. We immediately pulled him out of that daycare and put him in the best daycare we could find which was Academy for Little People. We put a lot of thought into choosing this daycare and toured several other facilities before choosing this one. All of the places I visited smelled like feces and you could hear children screaming and crying from every direction. I was beginning to think that this was just the way it is and when you get a bunch of kids together it must inevitably end up being a dog kennel type of environment with more smells and noises than my senses were able to process.I was so relieved at the quiet and lack of stink in the halls when toured Academy. They have monitors in every room that you can watch from the front desk and each of the play yards are separated and have age appropriate equipment for that group, no metal baseball bats or bats of any kind are allowed on the property. Our son has been here now for over two years. I honestly believe that because Sharon treats her daycare as a school and not just a place parents leave kids while they are at work, my son is better prepared to enter pre-k and kindergarten than I would have been able to make him on my own. These ladies know what they are doing and Easton has adored every one of his teachers and loves to go to school every day.
