Looks like a lovely inn but we have only eaten there. The menu is fairly basic but excellently prepared. I have had many different things off the menu and they have all been good. Highlights are the filet and pecan crusted trout.

The location of this hotel was a piece of paradise IMO. Coming from South Florida the specatcular view of the green meadow with the Fall foliage (in all its glorious colors) outside the room porch, took our breath away the first morning! The rooms were warm, cosy, country style decorated and comfortable with an organic touch to it. The service overall was excellent both at the front desk and restaurant and the restaurant itself was the icing on the cake! The food was both delightful and healthy... with perfect cuts of meat, fresh fish, poultry....having unique flavors and cooked to perfection. My husband as a matter of fact felt that this restaurant should be Michellin rated!!!

Very unique and well run inn and a beautiful setting in North Georgia. The service, breakfast and dinners were outstanding. A very enjoyable stay for a couple nights and I’ll look forward to doing it again.

The Inn is lovely, charming, comfortable, cozy, rustic, and historic. The customer service is first rate. Don’t miss having dinner in the restaurant. The food and service were perfect… elegant without being pretentious. This was an anniversary trip for us and we couldn’t have been more pleased. If you love being off the beaten path and nestled in the woods, this is the place for you. We’ll be back.

I would describe the restaurant as cottage-like in appearance. Our server Bonnie was wonderful. The restaurant does not offer mixed drinks but has good wines and beer options. The Chicken entree was overall good but the squash was excessively seasoned. Salmon entrees were well presented but overcooked. The lamb chops were tasty but a bit chewy. The broccolini was very good The front desk area leading to the dining area has a scent (candle?) that is very unpleasant and not appropriate so close to the dining room. The management and staff are super friendly. If staying at the inn you should dine at the restaurant at least one night

As someone who has traveled extensively and relied on reviews, I feel compelled to write an honest review. We have stayed in many rustic historic inns throughout the US, but unfortunately this one fell short of our expectations based on the price of the room. I appreciate what rustic historic means, but this review is not about the rustic characteristics of the Inn, but rather the service. I will begin with the positives.
Pros: The breakfast was delicious each morning and very well presented. The bed was very comfortable, and the Inn is in a beautiful area of North Carolina.
Cons: We purposefully arrived at the beginning of check-in time so we could have someone tell us about the Inn and which amenities were available to us. We arrived to find our packet on a bench outside. The Inn Keeper happened to be passing by and he showed us our room, while mentioning that he was new and had to find it himself. He never mentioned any of the areas such as the Garden Room that were available to guests. We never saw the Inn Keepers after that. As a new Inn Keeper you would think they would want to engage their guests . The linens on our bed were frayed, and it was obvious the bedspread had not been cleaned in awhile. It smelled of perspiration. We only received one washcloth each for three days. Women in particular do not like to wash their face with the same cloth they bathe with. I dropped an earring, and when I went to pick it up it was obvious the room had not been vacuumed in awhile. In addition to dust, there were a number of dead ladybugs under the chairs and bed. We had noticed each day that it appeared the only housekeeping was making the bed and emptying the trash. Towels were just as we left them. We reserved the three-room suite so we would have more room, but found the suite only had one chair to sit in. One of us had to sit on a day bed while the other had the chair. Not the most comfortable.
After reading so many positive reviews we were looking forward to dinner in the restaurant. The food and service were mediocre and not what we expected for fine dining. Actually the food at breakfast was better than the food at dinner. They look part of our silverware away after the appetizer and never replaced it. We were served an intermezzo but no spoon to replace what they had removed. I had to eat mine with a fork. Several of the guests wore baseball hats and jeans at dinner. Not the environment for fine dining as was advertised.
I am saddened that I cannot write a more positive review, but the price of the room did not correspond with the level or quality of the service.

Delightful dinner on the patio on a beautiful autumn afternoon. Food was excellent and so was the ambience. Look forward to going back again and trying some different dishes. Fried green tomatoes were great, as was the grouper and crabcakes. Very reasonable wine list.

We stayed one night because we needed an escape and Glen-Ella Springs was exactly what we needed. The hotel gave us an opportunity to disconnect and spend quality time with my spouse. The staff and other guests were very friendly! The grounds are meticulously maintained. Definitely recommend for anyone trying to getaway from the daily grind.
