I am without my garage full of tools and bits, so fixing something in the Sprinter van was a challenge on the road. So when I stopped in here and found a huge selection of tools and bits, I knew I was in a good place. I didn't find an inexpensive electric screwdriver but I did find the angle brackets and screws I need to lock down the table in the van. Great selection and prices were good. The man working the counter was friendly and helpful, pointing me to what I needed and then ringing up the sale. I'm glad I had the opportunity to skip the Big Box and #ShopLocal!

It's not easy to do business with Habersham Hardware and Home Center because in 2023 they still operate like they're in a 1980s time warp. They have no way to accept send or receive an online payment. I live in Atlanta and have a cabin near Helen GA. If I need material delivered like pine straw or building materials I learn it's not possible unless I drive to their Home Center and actually make the payment in person. You would think a business of this size would have online encrypted payment options where they send an invoice and I pay, then they schedule delivery. They don't even do COD for deliveries. It forces me to go to Lowe's or Home Depot.

I agree with several others; especially the building supply side, every time it’s like these guys will barely look you in the eye and couldn’t care less to help or answer questions.

Went to purchase a Stihl weed eater and Stihl farm boss chainsaw. The pricing was pretty good. I ended up getting an extra year warranty with the additional purchase of a gallon of Stihl fuel. Overall I'm pleased with my purchases. The staff was nice and very helpful.

You can definitely tell the employees don’t want to be there, very rude and not helpful. This has been true every time I’ve been in over the last year and a half. I won’t be back, I’ll drive the distance to Lowe’s.

Whatever you do, don't come here to get a key made. Stood around for 15 minutes after asking for help and no one even made an attempt at it.

Second time in. There will not be a third. The elderly gentleman in front of me had a simple question about some special cut panes of glass. He only needed to know who to speak with. The cashier was an absolute witch to the poor man. And then it was my turn. I asked for 2 bags of concrete and 10 bales of hay. She looked right at me and give the biggest full-body sigh I think I’ve ever seen. Begrudgingly, she rang me up, took my money, refused to help me figure out how to use their credit card machine, and handed me a receipt. I had the audacity to ask where I needed to go to pick up the items I just bought, and she just pointed to the side of the building and said ‘that way’. Yep, I’ll just go back to the big box store and use the trusty self checkout from now on.

I went to Habersham hardware shopping for a lawnmower. I had been shopping on line and could not find the mower I wanted to buy (TB490XP). I was on my way to Lowes when I decided to try this store. I had to ask an employee if the had lawnmowers and she took my straight to them in the warehouse. They had the exact mower I was looking far. since it was the end of the season they discounter the mower off the sticker price and I got a great deal so kudos to them.

I had quit going to Habersham Hardware due to the service. I decided to give it another try , it has only gotten worse! First lady was eating at the service counter, next employee did the usual act of ignoring you, had to ask him to cut rope for me (he spoke no words), when I got to counter to pay he had wrong number written down. The 4 ft section of nylon string rung up as 39.99. Girl said number was wrong and that was it! I walked out without making a purchase, worst example of customer service I have seen.

I’ve lived in Habersham my whole life. I watched my dad always support our local hardware store because it’s been THE go to for support small and friendly, helpful service. As an adult with my own house, My husband and I wanted to do the same — but not anymore. The last 5 visits we have made proved to be four visits too many!No longer is the store the small town hardware store I remember. There’s nothing friendly about the employees and they’re anything but helpful. I would attribute this to the lack of communication or mention the price jumps could coordinate with a ‘competitive’ price scale, but that would be a joke. The employees simply give the feeling and have manners to reflect one thing: they just do not want to be there or want to help. And yeah — $7-$10 differences are ridiculous.I found the Ace Hardware in Cornelia is where my money should be spent — it may have a corporate name but it is a small town hardware — with friendly and helpful employees that are very wise and helpful in every way they can be. Faces I recognize and the folks that have lived here most of their lives, too! So I’m still shopping local ?I will not return to Habersham Hardware again.
