Mark Of The Potter is a unique piece of North Georgia history, a preserved 1930's corn grinding mill overlooking the Soque River and a waterfall. It is a place where history lives on, intersecting with art and nature. Local artists produce and sell high quality, beautiful, American made functional pottery here. The venue is a treasure and a hidden gem, with very friendly and nice staff. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view and feed the giant pet trout in the river. The shop also offers workshops by the artists on weekends. It is a very interesting place and a touchstone for many, with well-preserved historical evidence and a commitment to future preservation. While perhaps not for young children, it is absolutely worth a stop and a visit for everyone else.
Theresa and I stopped in yesterday. Such an amazing place. If you want something completely one of a kind and unique. This is your place. If you're close stop in and buy with confidence. Oh and get a $1.00 bag of fish food and feed the trout.
