I have been wanting to bring my kids to this wildlife park for many years and we finally made the trip today! We attended on Family Tuesday which was a great deal and we added on the Deer Experience. The wildlife park was a 45 minute tour guided by Coffey. He was awesome! We saw many, many animals that I had never seen in person before and definitely had not seen some of them so closely at other parks or zoos. Coffey was a wealth of information, jokes and energy! He did a great job also involving the kids and adults by asking questions and he encouraged the kids to answer and made everyone feels good even if they got the answer incorrect. We also had Coffey as our guide for the Deer Experience and he told us lots of facts about deer and what species are "native" to Georgia. We got to feed them and pet them and it was a great experience! We loved the drive thru safari and next time we will buy the cups of food to feed the animals! My son wants to come back for the capybara experience for his birthday. So happy that we visited! I would just add to bring good walking shoes and snacks for your kids.

What a hidden gem this little zoo is hiding in the mountains of Dahlonega. My family had a great time and the staff very clearly care about the animals. I booked online and purchased admission package 1 which includes 1 animal feeding experience and a generic pass (petting zoo and drive-thru safari. The details on the website are a bit confusing so here are some pointers:1. When you arrive, there is an overflow parking lot across the street from the petting zoo.2. Further down after the overflow parking lot, there is a trailer which is where you go first to confirm your tickets/appointments. It is also a gift shop where you can buy animal feed.3. Once you get the ticket/receipt, you go across the street where the petting zoo is. You can also buy animal feed here as well as snacks/drinks. There is also a restroom here.4. The petting zoo is included with the pass and you can feed/pet goats, sheep, pigs, tortoises, and llamas.5. Also included with a pass is the “Wildlife Walk” which is a guided tour to see some of the more exotic animals such as kangaroos, capybaras, wolves, and lemurs. The walks start at the petting zoo area and occur every hour.6. Some of the admission packages include “animal feedings”. Please note that these are just feeding some special animals in a separate area through a fence. These are not the experiences where you hold the animals. Those have to be booked separately and are not part of admission packages.7. I booked a baby capybara experience as well which also occurred in the petting zoo area. For this experience they bring out a baby capy that you can hold and feed for about 20mins. Again, this is a separate paid experience outside of the package I already bought.8. Finally, rain. It did rain when I visited and although it was somewhat muddy, it wasn’t too bad. Your shoes will get messy though. Despite the rain, everything operated as normal.9. The safari drive-thru is a simple drive around several fenced animal pens. There is a very short, optional span where cows and llamas are loose and you can open your windows and pet/feed them. Please note that they will try to stick their head in the car.

This place was awsome! It looked like it was going to be really small but it's a lot bigger than it looks. Everyone loved what they did and the animal experiences are unforgettable. My wife got to feed deer ehich is a dream come true for her.

Wonderful facility. Caring, warm, inviting. The animals are well looked after and the park is expanding yet again. The fallow deer feeding experience is not only delightful but educational. Wildlife expert Coffey is fantastic at sharing intimate experiences with the animals, and petting a chinchilla was the highlight of my day. Will definitely return.

We came here on a whim and had an amazing time! The staff were friendly and helpful. We did both the petting zoo and the drive through, well worth it! Even though my children are grown, everyone had a great time!

This was an amazing experience. Everyone is very nice and the place is spacious and very clean. I believe Erica was our tour guide. Me and my partner were both able to hold an owl but also learn about other birds. Very informative tour, they really care about each individual animal. They let you get real close to them also teach you how to interact with them. Affordable variety of snacks at the gift shop and the tour area. Would recommend for kids and adult alike.

I went today with my girlfriend for one of her Christmas presents and I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend a day off after Christmas. We both had a blast and learned more info than we ever did at the Atlanta zoo. There was such a wide range of animals that we would’ve never expected to see , especially being located in blue ridge. I know for a fact we will be coming back and hopefully sooner than later , everything from the safari drive thru, wildlife walk through to being able to pet and feed the camels , bison , deer etc was an awesome experience. We also got to see and pet several reptiles and small animals like sugar gliders, hedge hogs , armadillos and Australian possums. All and all I hope everyone takes the time to either take their family friends or if you’re bored go have a blast by yourself , you won’t regret it and the admission is more than reasonable. We thank Emily for showing us around the reptile enclosure and Ethan for a nice stroll through the wildlife park and most importantly coffee for the rest , coffee was very personable and knowledgeable and I look forward to seeing you guys again very soon .

Visited the zoo on my 50th birthday, and it was the best birthday ever!!Did a "Meet the Babies" tour, and met porcupines, armadillos, capybaras, sheep, goats, AND...a penguin name Gwen!! Oh. My. Gosh!! Gwen was precious, and I loved getting to interact with her. After this, a student, from UGA gave me a tour of the property along with facts about all of the animals. When it was time to do the self-guided safari, I realized my gas tank was rather low. The attendant, from the office(her daughter works there, as well), gave me a ride in her car! Wow!! Also, she charged my phone as it was on its last breath!Lastly, we met Coffee, to feed the adult capybaras. Coffee gave me directions to the nearest gas station, realized I would get lost, and drove his car in front of me to make sure I got there and did not run out out gas. What a wonderful human being!!The gas station had a family of 20 cats, which made the animal day complete! What an experience with the wonderful staff of the North Georgia Zoo. All were warm, welcoming, and possessed an obvious passion for the animals. My 50th birthday was epic!!Thank you, North Georgia Zoo!!!

My family and I came here for the first time today. They were so kind, patient, and accommodating. The terrain can be a little rough and my mother has a hard time walking, but they were able to help us out so much. You can tell that all the employees have so much love for these animals and that they are well cared for. Lots of animals to see and even feed! The safari drive through was probably our favorite part, and the meet and greets were we able to do were informative and fun. You can even adopt an animal to help with their care, which is always nice. Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful experience!

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing time. We done the admission package 5, so it was just under 200$ and after visiting I’d be willing to pay more. Every single employee there took their time with us and were friendly and knowledgeable at all times, Ethan gave us the reptile experience and was a wealth of knowledge. Coffee was our guide for the small animal deer capybara and camel and we instantly hit it off. He was kind funny and had incredible knowledge of every animal in the vicinity. If you go give coffee a fat tip! And to the zoo administrators, do better with your advertisement! We’ve been to the Helen Cleveland area over 10 times in the past 4 years and just heard about it from a random tiktok that a visitor posted. Put out some signs in helen and Cleveland, invite some content creators and give them a free pass for some tiktok videos anything. You guys have an amazing place and I hate to see it wasn’t packed out!

We spent nearly the entire day here and didn’t want to leave! The staff are amazing, and you can tell they really have love for their animals there. My husband and I had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back. We did the drive-thru safari, wildlife walk tour, and even got to meet the animals, and pet and fed them. If you’re in the area, do not pass up this opportunity! It’s well worth the money, and you will have a great time. Also big shoutout to Ethan and Coffee! They were very pleasant, very informative, and all around great part of the team. If I could give this 10/10 stars I would!!

My family and I had the pleasure of visiting the park last week on 11/24. We purchased the whole park pass and loved that decision the petting zoo was a lot of fun for the kiddos and the puppy’s were a bonus ( mom fell in love with a Great Pyrenees ❤️. For our walking tour we had Coffee as our guide and he was excellent and very knowledgeable! Walked us through the animals and gave us some excellent information without being overwhelming. On the drive through tour we got to see some awesome animals in their elements great photo ops, kids fully enjoyed! Coffee went out of his way to do a small animal encounter with us that was very fun and informative! Overall you can tellHow much those animals are loved and cared for, the facility was clean and everything ran smoothly. 10/10 would recommend!! Thank you for the experience

This is such a great little hidden gem for animal lovers. The family had so much fun on the safari drive through. The animals come up to the car for food. The other side of the park is a petting zoo where you can feed and pet llamas, alpacas, goats, and more. The staff were very friendly and informative.

Overall a decent experience. For the price we paid, which was very expensive, I feel we should’ve gotten to at least hold some of the animals during the 5 activities package. No one told us about the walking tour until right before they were closing so that was upsetting because that was supposed to be included in our price and we didn’t even get the chance to do it. The photos on the website for the experiences are misleading. For the capybara feeding, it doesn’t tell you that you only get to feed them through a fence. The photo online shows no fence. And for the reptile experience the website shows someone holding a snake although you don’t get the chance to do it. No one offered to take our photo for the camel experience even though it says online you will pose for a photo. The staff were friendly and the animals were very cute. Our favorites were the capybaras and the baby cow.
