Always rude tellers in the drive thru. If you say “hi, how are you?”, you would assume they would be polite enough to answer back. Besides this, definitely the slowest bank I have ever used. I do not recommend this location.

I've been banking with South State Bank about 10 years. Didn't have problems until recently. They are working with me to fix the situation. The employees are always helpful and friendly. ?

Four cars in drive-thru, one window clerk, finally get up to the window, two girls sitting at the inside counter with no customers. Not even trying to help the window clerk. Where is the sense of urgency in customer service. My time is valuable too.

Apparently, South State doesn't respect its customers and feels the need to strip them of their lawful rights when they walk through the door. I closed my account after noticing the sign on the door stating “No Concealed Weaponsâ€. Now I guess I could have just open carried and been within my rights, but the fact they felt the need to take away the only means of my personal safety in an obvious high risk environment even after the extensive background check and probate judge deems me appropriate, tells me they don't respect me nor have the concern for my safety in mind. I'll go elsewhere with my business and money.

I was really nervous to start my first bank account and Mrs Martha took such good care of me. Everyone is so nice and friendly when I go in. Definitely not the terrifying experience I predicted
