I went to Carmax to sell my car, pictured above. I didn't buy my new vehicle there because they didn't have what I wanted. The rep quickly helped me get a written quote for a fair price that was good for 7 days. The next day, I returned to accept their offer. Melanie did a great job of getting our paperwork ready in a timely manner and was super personable and authentic! The whole process took about 30 minutes, only because they were swamped that Saturday. Very professional and low pressure.

This was an easy great experience. Merideth from Car Max In Columbus Ga was great and every detailed about everything….I literally did everything online came in and pick up my car. Such a smooth process I definitely would recommend car max!!!!

The process was easy, completed almost everything online before arriving. Once arriving I was there about two hours as they were running behind other than that the the process was quick and simple.

Carmax made selling my car so easy. Hassle free. I brought in my car with my offer. Within the hour, I was handed a check, some paperwork to sign and it was done. I was given a good price for my car. Will use them again.

The car buying experience was amazing! My wife and I were greeted immediately upon entering the facility. We linked up with Brandon Julien for the vehicle appraisal and trade-in. Brandon is a professional, putting my wife and I at ease throughout the process. We love the fact that the Columbus Carmax practice taking care of customers. The vehicle we purchased - 2017 Cadillac XT-5 - was selected using the internet. Once the vehicle was transferred to Columbus, the Columbus facility noticed that the paint one of the fenders was faded. The Columbus facility had the fender repainted at no additional charge before we were even allowed to see the vehicle in person! Love it! Kudos to the management! The business office did a fantastic job of verifying all the paperwork was completed properly and quickly. Everyone was nice. Again, Brandon is an amazing salesperson. Please acknowledge his work ethnic and passion towards customers. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle, request Brandon for the best car buying experience you have ever received!!!

I was given an online offer for my car and decided to go and check it out to see if they would honor it. They did! The paperwork and appraisal process took about an hour. I wanted to get in something new but not immediately. They didn't pressure me to purchase a car from them just because I was ready to sell. I appreciate that and would consider purchasing a car from here as well.

This was the best and easiest car buying experience I've ever had. Once pre approved the lady actually called me and found a car and payment that agreed upon. I.picked.up the vehicle the next day and the process was like 2 minutes tops. I do plan to purchase another vehicle again using this process in the near future

I had a bad experience here. When I had an appointment to check the car and sign the contract, the car had not been washed, there were a lot of stains in the car and the trunk. They made another appointment for me to come back on another day, but I canceled that car and decided to find another car. Next time I make an appointment with them to see the other car I chose. This car continued to be unwashed, it was dirty outside and inside, I took all the pictures of the car and showed them. They asked me to stop by another day to have a look at the car. And the next time I stopped by, the dealer said my car had been washed but when I checked, the stains were still there with some new scratches on the car. I spoke to the car dealer, he said he asked for the car to be washed before calling me, but he didn’t even check it. As for the scratches he said it had before. I showed him the pictures I took last time and proved the scratches was new. He told me CarMax would fix the scratches but at my expense. I asked him why I have to pay for the part of your fault. He turned to consult his manager, and they agreed to fix the scratches for me free of charge. The car was taken to wash and fix the scratches later. However I wasted a lot of my time on that day. I also have another car bought at CarMax in California, they are very professional and I am very happy with that car and their service. But at CarMax Columbus I had a bad experience.

Carmax charges shipping fees given a loose framework for transfer never with the intent on customers receiving vehicles in the condition promised, with no service or time given for arrival...I would never return as a customer nor an employee..

I’ve had a wonderful experience with a couple of the guys here at CarMax in Columbus, Ga. I purchased a car in February of this year, had a issue with the car and Mike in services was on point from beginning to finish. If I could give him 100 stars, I would. I never went without a loaner vehicle and he made sure I was satisfied and it was never a wait. Brandon and Derrick in sales was also outstanding. I had to choose a second vehicle and Brandon looked at my options and wanted me to choose the best one, it wasn’t no, yeah get this one, he looked at the vehicles I choose and told me the differences, he was very honest. Derrick was very understanding and gave me the best options and made the process so easy and fast. I wanted a particular finance company, and Derrick was on it. This car buying experience has been like buying a car from family. The ladies in customer service was wonderful. CarMax in Columbus will be my place of purchase. Thanks guys for my experience, I now know how a car buying experience should be.

Very Disappointed and Hurt by how my mother, and I were treated today at Your Establishment. We came in to get Estimates,Trade a car, and Purchase 2 more cars as gifts. But was i in for a rude awaking. My mother and I were completely ignored and told it would be an hour wait with no one in building. all the sales men took off and the ones that were there didn't even look our way. after waiting for an hour and 30 more mins i gathered my thoughts and took my mother out of there and we went home. i will never step foot in car max again. what a horrible experience,but no hard feelings at all because what they didn't know is i came in dressed relaxed as a multimillionaire and i left as a relaxed multimillionaire so Never Judge a book by its cover. Also it goes to show that it's not always a different race treating you badly with me being AA all of this was done by my own kind. Millionaire Signing OFF.

Car max in Columbus Georgia is amazing. The people are friendly and polite. My salesman was Michael and he has texted me several times since I purchased my vehicle to check on me and how I like my car. He was a great salesman. I asked about one car but was not able tI get approved and Michael went above and beyond and got me approved for a newer model Chevy sonic and I love it. Thanks car max

Tire shine on sidewalls does not remove dirt off the rest of the vehicle. The dirt in the pictures was there before and after the wash. The guy who washed it came up to me saw me taking pictures of the dirt and asked what i was taking a picture of. Express pickup took 4 hours. They would not transfer my disabled plates, charged me for new registration, and issued a new tempt plate. Refused to give me paperwork needed to go to Dmv myself to transfer plate, stated it was law that they must charge me registration and issues a new temp tag and I must pay for it. So what law states that disabled people must get a new plate and pay for it at carmax and then you go to the dmv after the new plates come in the mail to transfer your disabled plates? Update June 26th no one from dealership or corporate has contacted me on the condition the car was received in, broken light, or staff experience. I made multiple calls to both about these issues. I even went up to the carmax service department. So basically after multiple hours by me on phone with Carmax the situation is still exactly the same other then I was able to go transfer my plate. Zero Stars
