This hotel charged over $1200 to my personal debit card over a six week period for stays that never occurred. The front desk staff and general manager were extremely dismissive with rude attitudes. After pleading my case in 45 calls to the hotel over a 6 week period, hours on the phone with my bank, and a police report and BBB complaint, I am still out over $600. I had to cancel my debit card and block this vendor from charging my card in the future. Carefully consider your options before staying here, and definitely don’t share your debit card information. I am shocked to have experienced this at a Marriott hotel!

God awful customer service. Charge your card fraudulently MULTIPLE times. Refuse to make it right. Have had to contact Columbus PD and Marriot corporate. GM and front desk folks are incompetent. Avoid at all costs.

This hotel is beautiful! I am in town for a work trip. We checked in, received a room number that began with 15 however the room was not on the first floor. Unbeknownst, the room was on the opposite side of the building. Very frustrating not to be given directions at check in. Spent about 10 minutes finding the room. While showering, our bathroom had 2 roaches. Water was hot, sheets were clean but very displeased overall.

One of the best Marriott’s I’ve even stayed at. It’s in an old grist mill and they have made the old factor a charming place to relax and stay. Also, it’s in a great location for anyone needing to be in uptown Columbus! 10/10!

I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars, because I honestly see the 5 star potential. I work in hospitality so I pay attention to everything. The only name that I was able to remember was Shay. Shay was amazing. She allowed me to check in early which was extremely appreciated. Some of the other front desk employees weren’t as pleasant as her. I think it’s important to acknowledge guests, this is something this hotel lacks. Even if the rooms were horrible, a friendly front desk team would make the hotel experience amazing. Not the case at this hotel. The rooms were beautiful and the staff (except for Shay) was mediocre.

I remember when this hotel was being built in the early 80s. Staying here as a resident was great experience during a tough time. From Shay's warm welcome to the desk manager Cassandra seeing me off at checkout, I felt like ROYALTY. I'll be back.:)

Stopped in Columbus unexpectedly with my wife and child. It was very late and we were exhausted from multiple flights and several hours of driving. Brianna and Brenda took such great care of us and got us a room and checked in faster than I expected. Thank you ladies, you made my family feel welcomed and cared for!

Hot water was on warm at best. No printer at front desk. Had to bring receipts from upstairs office.

I would like to thank Mrs. Easterling, the daytime front desk supervisor. Mrs. Easterling is exceptional and goes well above and beyond to satisfy the needs of her customers. Mrs. Easterling provided PHENOMENAL service to me and I observed her giving the exact same service to other patrons as well. This location had higher rates than the other Marriott locations in the area but I will DEFINITELY absorb the cost as long as Mrs. Easterling continues to work at this location. I am affiliated with a very large network that books quite a few rooms in Columbus once a month and Mrs. Easterling has moved the Columbus Marriott to the top spot!!

UPDATE: I received a call from a member of the staff who apologized for the situation. That, to me, was enough of a resolution. She offered a couple complimentary things. But, I felt reassured enough that they reached out.The hotel really is nice and conveniently located to great downtown restaurants and Brewing companies just a short walk away.During last night's rainfall as i was sleeping, water started leaking from the entire top edge of the window. Woke up to find half my room's floor with water. Fortunately, they provide the room with lots of towels. I used all of them to dry the floor and then set them on the window ledge to catch what was still leaking. When I notified the front desk of the situation, I got a blank stare, followed with, "O h, we'll let housekeeping know." Then they thanked me for informing them. WRONG ANSWER! The first words out of their mouths should have been, "Sorry that happened. We'll get you into another room." Unbelievably poor service. Thankfully, I only have two more nights.

This hotel is a 10 out of 10 for my wife and I. The Staff was beyond exceptional. Especially my hostess whose hometown is Hattiesburg, MS. Giving you a Shout-Out. The in-house restaurant was great also. The rooms were great and the location was good also. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re coming to this city. We’ll be back next month. Until then, keep up the good work and we’ll see you all soon. ??

The hotel is nice. The service I received was not. Make sure they don't try the bait and switch on you.
