The storage facility is great and the staff is second to none, BUT going from $130/mo to $250/mo in a matter of 14 months is absolutely ridiculous. When you're on auto pay and have prices that jump like that with no prior notice, it's not easy to budget.

The office people are nice and the facility is clean. The corporate model is absolutely terrible. ExtraSpace doesn’t want long term storers and will double your rates arbitrarily every few months. You’ll only be informed of the increase by mail. Don’t sign up for auto pay! That would be unpleasant. I’ve had to call multiple times to address this and the rate is still increasing faster than I can handle. Columbus needs affordable storage and this isn’t it after your first few months.
Edit. I posted this review after speaking with Melissa at ExtraSpace this morning. Their review response to call so they can address my concerns and discuss this in detail is disingenuous because we have already discussed it this morning. They are still raising the rent faster than I can handle. I travel out of state for work and never receive their increase notices on time, so it’s just not a good situation and the negative review is accurate for my experience.

Customer service was great place was clean and didn’t smell like your typical storage and I loved the location of it./ update today is oct 30 2024 I have used this excellent facility yet again the customer service is awesome and Melissa is the best and I will definitely choose extra space on Blackmon road again.

Extra storage space is wonderful. We have plenty of room. The units are clean and if we ever need any help, the employees are always there with answers. I highly recommend extra storage space!

I’m probably one of the first customers. Been here for many years. Lately a bunch of bugs, specifically spiders are growing in numbers. I’m not a fan of this. I’m paranoid putting boxes in my car now.
