I have been a customer at this Hot Topic since I was a teen. Now 35, I still shop this Hot Topic constantly because I always utilize the free in-store pickup option when I order online. Everyone is super friendly each time I'm there and they even remember my daughter when I bring her in. She is only seven, but as far as she's concerned no stop at the mall is complete until we stop in here. Only the anchor stores and this shop keep me coming to Peachtree Mall and if it wasn't for HT, I'd probably never come out of my way enough to want to browse and shop the anchor stores.
Sign up for rewards and do reviews for points and get free stuff, the rewards stack! They also do Hot Cash occasionally, which pretty much amounts to a half-off discount. Employees always let me know if I have rewards or coupons, even if I forget to ask. I have ADHD so this is extremely helpful and I really appreciate it. I do most of my purchasing online, but I love being able to see and feel items in-store before purchasing. Bought a super cute frog outfit after seeing the jeans in-store even though my size was not on the rack.
Speaking of sizing, that is the ONE thing I would like to see changed at this location! There is usually only XL or under in most clothing items on the shelf. While they do have a huge selection of plus size online, sometimes we plus-sized folks like to try things on in-store, too! Perhaps plus sizes come in and sell right away and that's why I don't see them much, tbf it is a small store that can only carry so much stock, but from my observations it just seems like not much plus selection comes in. This is a complaint for the higher-ups, though, as I understand the individual store has little to no choice in what they receive.

Honestly, I hadn't been back to this store in years. On my last visit I came in to look for some black lava light lamps and wanted to see there might be something else that caught my attention as Hot Topic typically has something I hadn't seen anywhere else. I'm in my 40's, I was dressed semi-casual, and African American. I walked in I was IMMEDIATELY followed around by an employee who I observed was forced to do so by her co-worker. I am unsure if the co-worker was in management or not but the one who was ordered to follow me around was clearly uncomfortable in doing so. It is incredibly unnerving, annoying, and uncomfortable to be treated in that manner. I decided to leave but did advise the person who ordered the other employee to follow me around that it would not be ever returning to purchase anything from them. Since that experience, I find it much more satisfying to purchase items online from other retailers.

It’s been years since I’ve gone into a Hot Topic, and during my recent visit, the customer service was absolutely amazing. There was a worker named Shay who helped me out. She was happy to help me look for items I couldn’t find and suggest other items she thought might be interested in. I ended up walking out of the store with way more items than I intended to buy walking in. Her assistance was much appreciated, and she’s made a Hot Topic regular customer out of me. This all happened about a month ago. I would’ve left a review sooner, but I just found my lost receipt with her name on it now; she definitely deserves a good review.

This Hottopic looks pretty bare, with not much merchandise on display. While the staff does offer assistance, they often stay behind the counter. Back when I worked at Hot Topic, we weren't allowed to do that.

This is probably the most pleasant Hot Topic I've ever been in (besides the mall of Georgia one) the staff are friendly and pleasant. The store is clean (though cramped like most hot topics), it fits the aesthetic of what "hot topic" is supposed to look like- so clean in that regard. They usually have what I'm looking for.
