Every time I go into the Columbus GA Joann Fabric Store, the people are so helpful and friendly. I have gotten where I go here for all my material. The experience is wonderful.

While waiting @ the yardage goods counter for a few minutes, an employee leaving told me to push the button to get some assistance. So I did. I continued to wait a few minutes. After waiting more minutes & pushing the button, no one came. So I walked to the office. Door was shut & there was no sign of any employee. I went up front & spoke with the very nice young cashier. She stated that when the button is pushed, all employees are alerted a customer needs assistance . However, she did not receive any notice. I told her about my experience. She then was able 2 contact an employee to assist me. Then another rude employee said I should have pushed the button. I explained I did & it was not working. She snapped back "Yes it is!!!" And she huffed off. If it wasn't for the polite cashier & her understanding, I would have left leaving the merchandise on the counter. I told the mice cashier I truly did not appreciate being called a liar when I did what I was told & then some. The nice cashier apologized & I thanked her & completed my transaction. Note for the JOANNE's management: Try improving & addressing "customer service relations" After all, it's the customer's technically paying your pay check. Without customer purchases there would be no JOANNE's.

The cashier was super helpful but she was new and didn’t have keys- we couldn’t get anyone else in the store to come unlock the paint pens for us. She called for help but someone responded and said “it would be a while- they were really busy”. There were 3 customers in the whole store on a Wednesday afternoon, 8/14. Walked through the whole store and didn’t see another employee anywhere. There was also someone waiting at the fabric counter with no one there. Needless to say we walked out without out paint pens.

The last two times I’ve visited I’ve gotten all the way up to check out to be told the sale or coupon I saw is for online only. I understand retail, and it’s not the fault of the employees here. But it feels like Joann’s is purposefully prioritizing online ordering and excluding in-store shoppers. They have different sales in store vs online. And will not price match their online prices. As if they are a completely different store or selling different products? It’s frustrating to the consumer. The latest “online only” sale was called a “Doorbuster sale”… by definition a Doorbuster is a sale that brings you *inside* the door.
Again, I know this is nothing to do with the service of the employees - but it’s a frustrating move by the company to not honor online prices when I’m in store to purchase the exact same product immediately rather than waiting 3 hours for someone to pick it for me.

I have been in JoAnns on 5 different occasions, but in the last month of December I encountered the most rude, solom guy. I was talking to him, was listening to a podcast I assume. But he had customers there. He was at the cutting table. No smiles, no can I help you no nothing. This was the 3rd time I met him and the same thing. So i said something to him. He was the manager. Again very dry, im the manger, what you want.. I went on to explain, I was asking a question, and made a statement about cutting fabric off the gain. He replied it would be alright I allowed extra. I got home it was not right. If he the manger act like that to customers, how can he say anything to the employees w bad manners. I actually told him that w no reply. Went back 2 days ago and again he was at cutting table.. absolutely no interacting w customer. Dry! Next...I gave him the fabric how much, w podcast in ear. I returned my fabric. I dont want to deal w JoAnne. I also asked about patterns. He said they never on sale except for 39% off. They were on sale after Christmas. $1.99 Buttermilk and $5.99 Vogue.

Never using their app or website again for pickup orders ??♀️ both of them just kept constantly glitching and then when I finally got the pickup order to be placed on the app, the next day it tells me they were out of stock on 2 of the items after already paying for it and saying it was in stock online. Due to them not having it in stock, it charged my card 2 times. The original purchase total of $60 and then another $45 I guess as what the total is supposed to be. I have yet to be refunded the $60, it’s ridiculous to think y’all simply can’t just send back the difference instead of charging it twice. Not just that, but they gave me the wrong kind of yarn on one of them and told me I need an ID to return, which I personally can not go to the store at the moment and won’t be able to for another month or so due to being hospitalized. Highly disappointed! I can’t even use my card at the moment because it’s now negative for the purchase being charged twice. I’ve tried called customer service countless times and it remains on hold the whole time & there’s still been no response to me reaching out in email. DO NOT SHOP ONLINE!!
