I've been a loyal client of this practice for years and was one of their first 200 patients (at least that is what the receptionist told me). As someone who runs an animal rescue, I've always appreciated their care. However, something has drastically changed since my last visit. Read the reply from the vet below- I think their angry and accusatory tone speaks for itself.
I was helping a dog from Hurricane Helene. For this visit, I had several issues with scheduling that made it difficult. We struggled with the online forms- when I'd call their office, one person said many were having difficulty going through and to email instead, which I did. When I called the next day to check, the receptionist said there was no problems and only my referral wasn’t in. Each time I would call to try and figure it out, the receptionist that would answer would say my name in a condescending tone (they must have caller ID) like she was over dealing with me. I was just trying to follow instructions. After that, I tried to set up a consultation with someone that was already clearly annoyed with me when I was just trying to follow their process. This clearly spilled over into the appointment and how that was handled.
Despite coming from Atlanta, they wouldn’t provide a window to meet with a doctor, insisting that the dog stay for a full day. Considering a consult is usually a 30 minute appt, I was surprised that this was the only option. I wasn't given an alternate specific date or time regardless of date- that would have been awesome. So, I booked a hotel to make sure I was there in the AM & to follow their rules. I also boarded my personal dogs back home. I arrived in the early AM as requested and dropped off the dog- I went in at 1 to use their restroom, and went back to my car. I didn't ask about my dog at that time- I was careful not to with the tension from them that was already there.
I went in around 4 & said I had to get home- I had to pick my dogs up from daycare 2-3 hrs away. I said if my dog wasn't ready, that I understood, but I had to get home. When they returned my dog, they were smug and looked almost excited that they were giving her back. It felt like my dog was pushed back in the day out of spite and anger. They claimed I was rude- while I was frustrated, I never raised my voice and stayed calm. I've had multiple dogs there and have never been accused of being rude with any of the previous cases. Even in their response to this review, they don't consider a "long-term client" someone with a minimum of 4 dogs that had specialty surgeries. Imagine if you are a one-time client and how you are viewed and treated.
His wife came out when I was at the desk and said "if you want to come here, you do it the way we say". It was such a bold statement that I was taken aback. There's so many ways to say the same thing in a polite way- they just wanted me to know where I stood. The receptionist that had been condescending on the phone was shaking her head in agreement. At that point, I realized this was a culture situation at the office. Maybe the receptionist ( who was new since the last time I was there) went and said negative things about me to the owners. Maybe not. But that is why an owner usually comes and figures out what is going on for themselves and doesn’t go after a stranger like she did.
All of this made me wonder how they would handle a more serious situation, like post-surgery complications. Would I receive the same level of disdain in a critical moment? This experience has raised real concerns about the care and service here. When I sat in my car and thought about getting my dog, I thought carefully before doing so. I knew that meant the end of the relationship with this vet. But at the end of the day, I need to feel confident in such a major decision for my pet. I will stick with Auburn for these going forward. Auburn really spends time and doesn’t ma

The staff and Doctor was extremely nice and beyond helpful in discussing our options regarding our 11.5 yr old Chow Chow, Kona, localized and operable cancer. They were very understanding of our situation since Kona is our baby and went over everything in detail from start up to potential surgery. We will be getting a CT to ensure the cancer has not spread and then will be moving forward with surgery.I cannot thank our Dr. at Crossroads Veterinary Clinic in Newnan for the referral. Without their guidance, we would not have known where to begin. The facilities are brand new and state of the art. We were extremely impressed with the way we were treated and none of the staff or doctor were afraid to handle Kona, a chow chow....a breed that often gets the misnomer of a bully or mean breed.Surgical is going to be several thousand dollars but since she is our only child (I cannot have children) no cost is too much to save her life.If you have a pet that is like your child, I would absolutely recommend taking them here and having them evaluated! We've used Auburn with our other Chows and have not had successful outcomes. This doctor has given us hope that we can beat this cancer and give Kona another 4 or more wonderful years....which means we can take her with us on all kinds of adventures!I can't thank everyone there for giving us the hope we needed in a very dark time! ❤️?

Can't say enough good about this place or Dr. Wayne and his staff. Our lil Ruston had terrible break and locally we were told without a specialist, he would lose his leg. The next morning we drove 2 hours to see Dr. Wayne. Even though he was booked for weeks,,he took Ruston in and said he would get him fixed up..14 screws,,5 lag bolts, a plate and a rod later and today only 5 weeks into his 8 week recovery he is walking perfectly. Was walking the first week though he has to be crated because as Doc said he doesn't realize he is still very fragile. The staff calls and asked about him on occasion as we still have a few more visits before his release,,Dr. Wayne has a nature about him that you can tell he really does enjoy what he is doing. What he done for us and our lil (80lb Catahoula) Ruston has been wonderful. Is it expensive? Yes..but the aftercare and before care and the absolute peace of mind knowing your dealing with a person who knows what they are doing is priceless. He goes into great detail to explain everything,,from the injury,,to the fix,,to the detail price list.. nothing is a shock and the care and compassion your animal will receive is unrivaled. It has been worth every penny to see Ruston have a chance at a full complete life again at only 8 months of age. 5 stars and would highly recommend to anyone who God help them needs specialist care.

First, my pup is doing great thanks to their care which is much appreciated. Their level of customer service and communication skills are unsurpassed. They kept us in the loop throughout the process and followed up with us several times after we brought Odie (our pup) home. Clean beautiful facility, staffed by a skilled caring team, truly I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

I’m so absolutely livid. I drove 2 hours to this facility after them telling me on the phone that they are very confident about the procedure. I get here, they tell me they are not a 24 hour facility and recommend and prefer that I see a 24 hour facility to do the procedure. Then tell me that I am being charged $100 for the 5 minute run down conversation on what the surgery entails. I now have a 2 hour drive back home on top of the 2 hours I wasted sitting in the room waiting for the veterinarian to come see us, plus the 2 hours it took to get here. I am honestly in shock and absolutely livid.

We had a great experience with Dr. Wayne and all of his staff. Our Wheaten Terrier needed TPLO on both knees. He was miserable and unable to get around--we carried him up and down the stairs to even go to the bathroom. We had the first knee done in January(23) and the second one done in Apr(23). Even just doing the first leg made a huge difference in our dog's quality of life. We followed the post care directions to a "t" and everything turned out great--the second knee was a bit harder to get back to "normal" but I was told this would be the case from the beginning. I recommend investing in a lick sleeve unless you want to deal with a cone for 2-3 weeks. Now our dog is back to doing his twice daily walks, with longer walks on the weekends or as our schedule allows. I highly recommend this practice. They explain everything thoroughly, are great with follow up, and all the staff are just lovely. Thanks again, Dr. Wayne!

This vet is one of the most arrogant, condescending people I’ve ever met. He was extremely rude to me as well as his young staff which were lovely. Furthermore, he vehemently recommended a $4,000 surgery. Luckily, we canceled our surgery when our dog temporarily improved. Months later at a recheck he couldn’t make a diagnosis, but he recommended we go through the litany of tests again ($800) to diagnose a problem he had already recommended surgery for. After waiting 1.5hr to be seen I declined. I’ll gladly pay more to Blue Pearl rather than give this man a dollar more.
