I have to give kudos to Dorothy and John at the Verizon/Russell store in Columbus, GA! They both spent a lot of time upgrading and transferring my phones. Both employees have the patience of “Job” and never were flustered by the time we spent or the additional customers that came in. Please let both Dorothy and John what a delight it was to have such great customer service in a world where we don’t see it anymore.

15 year Verizon customer. Called this location to arrange for my Mom to pick up a phone there, since I live across the country. The Manager (said he was, anyway) sounded like he was over his head and found every excuse not to help. Even accused me of fraud.

I would not recommend this Verizon store. It is only staffed with one person and the staff member did not wear shoes the entire time. It smelled terrible in the store and he blasted the show my name is earl to the point where it felt like I was in a torture chamber being forced to listen to the show on full blast while he was one speaker phone with Verizon customer service because he was not able to do a simple upgrade because of an apparent “outage” at Verizon. We spent over 2 hours in this store trying to do a simple plan and phone upgrade and have spent the next day still trying to get it to work and we were told by Verizon customer service that the staff member set the phone up wrong and we are not able to connect to data and are having to go to another Verizon store today to get help.

A pregnant friend of mine got her new phone from this place. She told me one of the employees here tried to hit on her while she was trying to get her new phone working. In addition to this he was trying to go through her pictures while trying to transfer her information over. I told her to report this to Verizon but I’m not sure if she is going to.
