Comer Veterinary Hospital has been our hometown vet for over 20 years, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The staff is always friendly and thorough. I appreciate that charges and options are presented ahead of services. Keep up the great work!

1st time visiting yesterday with my 10year old boy General. I have nothing but good things to say about Comer Vet. I would give them 10stars if I could. Definitely found our forever vet.

Up until this week, I would have given Comer vet a 5-star rating. However, things are changing. Prices for routine services have gone up by 50% in the last few weeks. While we were waiting for a nail trim, several older people came in who were doing what they have always done in the past: stopping in for things. But they were told that they could no longer simply drop by to pick up medicine as they have done in the past. One couple was distraught that their dog would no be able to get relief, while another was worried about their cat. Both were worried about the prices piling up and affording the care. They had to schedule an exam or they were told about possible boarding fees.
It was quite sad to watch, and to realize that our "home town" vet experience was quickly disappearing. Now, it may be that costs have increased. It may be that they sold to a larger corporation, as many private vet practices have done. It may be because the desk person is new and simply "following instructions." It certainly should have come to these older pet owners with some warning and more grace, rather than the simple "sorry we can't do that" and "here is the list of fees." Maybe a, "we can do it this time, but our policies are changing in the future" approach or a "just to let you know our prices have increased by 50%." It would have been good customer service, especially for people who have been coming for years. It certainly may push people like us to travel farther away for vet services after watching this unfold.

I cannot speak highly enough of Comer Veterinary Hospital. When my rabbit fell ill, Dr. Russell and his team showed us both unparalleled compassion and attention. Dr. Russell's expertise and genuine care were evident from the moment we walked in. The entire office, from the warm and welcoming receptionists to the skilled veterinary techs and other doctors (thank you Kelsi, Holly, and Dr. Goggans), radiated love and care for my sweet animal. I am immensely grateful for the exceptional care and support we received there during such a challenging time. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking compassionate and professional veterinary care.

Tried to have my dog seen for a bullet wound. They put me off until later on the day, wanted to do so many excessive procedures for extra $ and we basically had to leave. Instead of trying to help us, they tried to nickel and some us.

Got us in the same day to ease the suffering of our old pet who was slowly dying and did so in a compassionate way.

We get our flea treatment for our dogs from there. Price is fair.
