This conyers location is very professional I started renting vehicles out of here for 3 months now and I’ve never had any trouble.. every employee at the front desk gets me in & out and I leave satisfied

I will NEVER rent from Avis Rental again! First time had to wait over an hour for a car. Second time no cars at location of pickup had to drive from Stone Mountain to Norcross to pick up car. Told me that I could return vehicle to original location of rental but then they charged me for drop off at a different location! Next rental guess what no cars waiting on cars from airport! I guess that’s why they are the cheapest rental on HOPPER. I don’t care NEVER again will I rent from Avis! Period

I booked a reservation online, through the website for the location closest to me. I was ony way to that location, and Avis called me and said they don't have any vats available for me. Now they took my money before I could close the browser. This was such an inconvenience. Corporate, the website and the store needs to work on harmony with each other. If a location don't have any cars available, then it shouldn't allow me to make a reservation.

Someone rented a car from this location on 1/22/2024 and the rental was put on MY AVIS account and my credit card on file was charged. AGAIN, I did not rent this car!I immediately contacted Avis corporate and this Conyers location. They claim it was a mistake; the actual renter's name is very similar to mine, and they simply associated the rental with wrong account. I believe the associates that claimed he made this mistake was named Josh, who was also not the nicest, and at one point told me there was nothing he could do to help me at the moment and he had a customer to deal with in front of him; he'd have to put me on hold and wait for the manager to pick up the call.Anyways... they continued charging my credit card on file for a week. Eventually, they removed all the charges. But as of today 2/13/2024, the rental is STILL associated with my Avis account, my name, my drivers license, my address, etc.I can see all the information related to this rental agreement in the app. I can even see the current location of this car that I did not rent! (Imagine I was a crazy person. I could pull up to this persons house right now if I wanted). I see the rental was due for return 2/2/2024, but the renter has not returned the car.On 2/12/2024, USPS attempted to deliver certified mail to my address on behalf of Avis, and I assume it has to do with this rental associated with my account and it not being returned.I continue to inform them, I did not rent this car. I trusted Avis to safely and securely store my personal information (credit cards, drivers license, etc), and they have failed to do so. Instead they are charging my credit card and sending certified letters to my house for a rental agreement that is not mine.I do not know how they 'mistakenly' associated this rental with my account, but I am starting to believe this is not a mistake at all and this is a case of an inside job/scam. DO NOT store your information with Avis, and, especially, do not rent from this shady location.

I wish there was a way to give negative stars! It's mind boggling how Avis stays in business at this point. EVERY location is terrible!!! They allow u to make reservations that never hold anything then wait until u get to the location to act like they're confused why you're even there. Based off all the reviews I see this is an ongoing problem so whoever the avis rep that's replying pretending to gaf please don't anger me more by asking for my reservation number as if u all actually make up for the atrocious customer service Avis CONTINUIOUS provides!! This is not the 1st time nor the only location I've had my reservation mean nothing & my plans completely f'd up because of it!! You'd have to be stupid to work for avis right now because I'm sure all u do is get cussed out by unhappy customers!If u are thinking of reserving here DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME they lack the basic common sense to either turn off reservation ability when they don't have cars.. which is hardly ever based off what idiot who answered ph laughed as they told me when I called before I took a car all the way there because I know Avis is known for doing this.DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE REVIEWS WHERE U SEE AVIS RESPONDING ASKING TO REACH OUT TO THEM WITH YOUR INFO. THAT'S AS FAKE AS THE RESERVATION U WILL MAKE. I'VE HAD THIS EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE AT THE STONE MOUNTAIN LOCATION (which is why I decided to try this one thinking the terrible service was location specific but nope it's avis as a whole. They've partnered with uber & I was told by an avis employee that they have cars on the road regardless so they don't need to concern themselves with regular customers & believe me when I say they don't care that's why they can laugh as they tell u they have no cars because they know as bad of service they give their job won't be effected because avis isn't worried about losing our business.

I reserved a car 5 days prior, THE DAY OF PICKUP they called me and said they do not have any cars for rent. I had to cancel my trip to see my 85 yr old mother at the last minute.

I left a review once before and corporate reached out and made things right so I tried them again. BIG FAIL!!! Reserved a car online and paid all fees. Arrived at my scheduled pick up time and was told they didn’t not have the reserved car size available and I would have to upgrade AT MY EXPENSE. I asked why no one had called to tell me this as I had reserved and paid for a rental online and was not given an answer. I had no choice but to accept the upgrade at MY EXPENSE when it was not my fault. The man behind the counter told me I had to sign for the condition of the car before I could get the keys. I told him I was not and I needed to see the vehicle before taking possession and signing off on the condition. He proceeded to go back and forth but I stood firm. Upon review of the vehicle - front driver side windshield was cracked. I had to be placed in a different vehicle. Welp, this vehicle started overheating and I was literally in the side of the road, the heat went out and I had to take it back for another exchange. When I called them I was told they were about to close (it was 11:40 am Saturday) and I’d have to go elsewhere. I exchanged it out & extended the rental for 1 more day but I noticed on the paperwork she had the vehicle coming back at noon when I initially checked it out at 4:30pm (actually it was after 5 pm due the cracked windshield). I called customer service about the return time I was told it could be extended from noon to 4:30 but it will be an additional charge. Avis should not advertise vehicles for rent when they don’t have them, their system should not even allow a reservation. If they know that they don’t have a vehicle available and have to upgrade someone - that personable NOT have to pay ANYTHING additional. This location is not good with communication and has unfair practices. When I expressed that to the man at the counter he offered to cancel the reservation - mind you I paid in full online and - and told me I’d have to deal with their corp office for any refunds. This was an experience and at my expense! Completely unfair, deceptive practices and horrible customer service!**UPDATE** After reviewing my charges I was $9+ for a “fuel surcharge” that I never signed up for as I brought the vehicle back full. Additionally, the response below from Avis to reach out…tuh! I guess that’s there to make themselves look good - no one from their corp office has responded! If you like fraudulent charges on your credit card and poor customer service, bait & switch tactics rent from Avis. I’ll be taking my concerns to the Better Business Bureau & am launching an investigation of deceptive practices with the Federal Trade Commission. Keep in mind, #Enterprise will deliver a vehicle to you or have one sent to the store you’re picking up from. You won’t have any “surprises” on your final bill and their staff is trained, competent and very customer service friendly!!

Save yourself some time and rent for someplace else. These people forgot to give me my license when I rented from them. They called me an hour later, "Oh, we forgot to give you back your license." The employee got an attitude when I asked him to mail and expedite my liscence to MS. Four days and many phone calls later, after calling back (when I was told they would call me back), I discover they still have my license in Conyers. Then, the employee that was supposed to mail the license lied to his boss (while i was on the phone, mind you), and said I never asked him to mail the license. Avis is the worst company in the history of history. I filed a complaint, and I won't hold my breath to see if the district manager calls me back as I was told.Update: Spoke with a supervisor today who seemed to care as much as the incompetent employees who did not give me back my license. She offered one day free of car rental, as if that would make up for the lies told by the incompetent employees and the money i lost because I was unable to return to work. I will be calling customer service and asking to speak to her boss. I've never had any sort of issue like this with enterprise. They are much more expensive, but ilevidence suggests you get what you pay for.

I reserved my car for one price, when I turned it in I was charged another price without notice. The car was dirty, and I was told that they don't have the ability to wash the cars at that location. That's not my problem! I am paying for a clean car. I would like to receive a clean car. Otherwise you should be discounting. I called several times and I still haven't been able to get a response.They also switch the car to something smaller and lied and said that both cars were in the same class when originally I rented a small S. U. V they gave me a Is compact car instead

Stay away from this rental company. I prepaid for my rental car. When I got there my car wasn't available. After waiting over hour and half. I was told that they only had an upgrade and that it would cost me more! I returned the vehicle a day early and they kept the money and kept a hold on my deposit several days after I returned the vehicle. Never had this problem with Enterprise. Will never use them again!

I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience with Avis Car Rental in Dogwood. Despite confirming my reservation for a car ready by 12 PM, I was left waiting until 2 PM for my vehicle to be available. Two hours of delay completely disrupted my schedule, causing me to be egregiously late for a crucial appointment I relied on the rental for in the first place.Moreover, when I returned the car and explained the situation to the representative, their response was shockingly dismissive. Their exact words were, "it doesn't matter." This lack of concern for their customers' inconvenience and time is simply unacceptable.Adding insult to injury, their unclear and exorbitant refueling policy left me feeling cheated. They quoted an astonishing $10 per gallon for refueling, yet they couldn't provide a straightforward answer regarding the charges for the fuel I used. Their response of "I don't know until I charge you" was not only baffling but completely unprofessional. How can a reputable company leave customers in the dark about their eventual expenses?Overall, my experience with Avis in Dogwood was nothing short of a nightmare. They demonstrated a blatant disregard for customers' time, showed no professionalism in handling queries, and seemed indifferent to addressing concerns. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this establishment; it feels like they have no qualms about taking advantage of customers' time and money. Avoid this place at all costs - they left me feeling robbed and disrespected.
