We discovered Pets Unleashed after my son caught an anole in our yard. They have a good selection for reptiles and we ended up getting a crested gecko from them as well. They are very knowledgeable about the reptiles in their store and are comfortable handling them and educating customers. I highly recommend them for anyone considering getting a reptile for the first time and for experienced reptile owners.

I thought the outside of the store was cute, however when I walked in it smelled horrible. I know animals can't stay clean 24/7, but this was like the animals are super unkept. Also that girl, I'm pretty sure is the owners daughter, was very disrespectful to me. I know she's a child, however it's not okay to be disrespectful for no reason. I also came in with my gay friend, and the owner was being super weird to my friend; also not giving him the same attention she was giving me. I personally think giving someone attitude for being gay is distasteful. Over all bad experience. Do better!!!
UPDATE- Very unprofessional response to be honest. Exactly a NINE year old should have basic respect. Your shop smelt like straight ammonia; from pee, and unkept animals. I never said it looked bad on the inside. I think how you have things set up are actually fine. As a business owner you should also DO BETTER with constructive criticism. Do better.

The people are very nice and seem pretty educated. I like that they allow you to rent a cage for parakeets (15$ per week is fair). However, their prices are unnecessarily high and their return policy for parakeets is only a 24 hour period. Which is ridiculous because you can't know whether or not a pet will work out for you in less than 24 hours.
For owner:
Assisting with the surrender of a pet is not a return. I am down 65$ because of your poor policy. You may not know what happens after a pet leaves the building but that does not warrant having only a twenty-four hour return policy. So, you know what happens within twenty-four hours?...

Vincent was soo helpful and informative with me and my mom today!! Great place and great people! The owner and her daughter were so nice! Felt very welcoming we enjoyed looking at all the amazing pets!!

The perfect small town pet store! Over the years, it has become one of our favorite shops to visit. The owner breeds the most beautiful Mini American Shepherds! We love going to visit whatever litter she has in the window. They will make you smile no matter how bad your day has been. We have adopted 2 of her pups, and they are the best little dogs we could ask for. Definitely take any opportunity you can to go visit the doggies in the window! ?

What a fabulous old school pet store! We had a wonderful time visiting with the puppies, snakes, ferrets, turtles and fish! They have a terrific selection of pet items and supplies. The manager, Mercedes, is absolutely awesome! She is kind, helpful and loving. She has an exceptional intuition about animal behavior, and she provided a lot of helpful information about dog training and some background on behavioral patterns. She is truly passionate about her job, and the community is lucky to have her as a resource of knowledge and help when choosing a family pet. We had a lovely experience and will return soon for more toys and treats!
