The owner of Marathon gas station in Covington, Ga. On Turner lake rd, they are unethical and are racist. They did not pay my son for his service work completed on 1/23/25. The owner flat out stated because the job was not worth the dollar amount after the job was completed. My son is 23 and a plumber who obtained his license under his father who is an unrestricted master plumber with over 30 years of experience. Can you imagine being a Doctor and someone comes in with the pink eye and tells you that your $500 dollar service is not worth it because you only prescribe the medicine. Backstory, My son told the owner that he is on a septic and must get it pumped. The toilet was backing up. He insisted my son snake the toilet. My son told him that snaking the toilet would only be a bandaid. After the job was completed, and the owner had already agreed to the cost, the owner stated that he did not believe the job is worth the cost and did not pay my son. This was at 10:30PM!!!! My son had been working all over the city that day and instead of going home to his toddler, he went to do the job. My son has done plumbing for their family members that also own gas stations in the area. This is not right!!!! We are gathering social media to show up there over. We have attempted on 4 occasions to obtain payment to no avail. Y’all are going to stop these unethical acts. My son is a hard worker. Again, this is the Marathon gas station in Covington, Ga on Turner Lake rd at the split in the road. They are also affiliated to the Velaro gas station in Conyers off of Honey creek. All the owners are brothers and brother in laws. This is about principle!!! Now, if someone comes into your store and takes a bag of chips this is called stealing. You are stealing from my son!!! #Principle

I ran out of gas and figured I could go to my local gas station. lol no. Literally gas can leaked everywhere. Sold it to me for 20$ leaked all over when I filled it up leaked when I tried to get the gas into my car when I finally got back to the gas station and told him my issues he came out to “fix it “ lol he made it worse and made gas go all over my car but no refund. Me nor my family will ever go here again. It’s trash here 100%.

Great store! I've been going there for several years. Possibly my favorite convenient store/gas station. The employees including the clerks have always been very friendly and helpful. And the checkout at the register has always been quick and accurate. The entire store including the restrooms and parking lot is always very clean. ???

This place sold cigarettes to my underage child thanks. It makes it hard to be a parent when you have businesses in our community undermining the good parenting we put forth.
