Well never shop here or use FedEx onsite. Manager turned away package that was 40 lbs when website says accepts upto 55lbs. Now I won't have air conditioning thru the weekend amd have to take another day off work. All this in the worst heatwave.

Dear Dollar General CEO and/or executive,
I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out to formally express my concern regarding an incident that took place at one of your Dollar General locations involving the action of the store manager.
My name is Lynda, mother of 3 minor kids, professional pharmaceuticals sciences worker who have NEVER been involved in ANY criminal activities and barely can even remember I had a simple traffic ticket from the police.
after a long day of 10 hours of work from and driving an hour from Lawrenceville to Athens, I was simply sitting in my car in the Dollar General parking lot, of course after spending about $150 of groceries which I even recurrently spend at least one a week or every two weeks at the same store! I was simply tired from driving and work and needed to relax in my car for a some time while reading my personal emails and updating my mummy list of things to do on my google calendar before heading home as I usually do!
What did I do wrong? Bring a black women Seating on my Mercedes truck by myself while minding my business is that really the reason I should get about 4 police officers called on me??
Did the store manager approached me before she decided to call the police and asked me to leave and I didn’t left? No! She did none of that!
I was soo soo shocked to just see about 3 officers on my window and I simply told them what I just related above! What really is going on with our generation? I usually do not address things like this but as a mother this makes me so scared to believe that it’s no longer safe to even mind your own business! If you have a minimum amount of time to seat in the lot after shopping for your clients then please simply let the clients know!
But someone using their phone in their own car shouldn’t be a problem especially if it’s a client of yours!
when, without apparent cause, the store manager called the police on me.
I was neither causing a disturbance nor engaging in any inappropriate behavior—just sitting in their vehicle. SIMPLY THAT! Could’ve almost caused me my life!! ???
This situation raises serious concerns about customer treatment, judgment, and potential bias in handling such matters.
Calling law enforcement on a peaceful individual without cause not only creates unnecessary tension but also reflects poorly on Dollar General’s commitment to being a welcoming and community-oriented business. Which is truly making me REGRET the money I’ve been spending on your brand for the past few YEARS!
I would appreciate your review of this incident and insight into how situations like this are addressed within your company.
More importantly, I urge you to consider whether additional training or guidelines may be needed to prevent similar occurrences in the future as I personally deemed what she did very unprofessional, unethical and biased.
Please let me know how you intend to address this matter. I look forward to your response.

The worst they have an employee standing in the rain won’t open the door and was supposed to be open at 8:00 am they never open on time don’t answer the phones and just all together not a good business or the employees are just no good !! You got a employee here on time and can’t get in because lack of others

This is the worst customer service. The young lady today was on her phone the whole time get an attitude with me because I asked a couple of questions. She proceeded to ignore me the rest of the time because she was more worried about who is texting her and her replies on her phone than me as a customer. I will never come back, it’s make No sense to have to spend my money at a place where they don’t care about how their customers are treated by their employees, I guarantee you she won’t be fired!!

This was one at least open. The other one had a sign on the door saying come back at 3:00 p.m., and they rarely have what I want in stock.
This one, customer service could use some help...but at lest they had some things in stock, though not organized.
Best one give been to is in Buford, on Braeselton.

Horrible, horrible I don’t know who do the hiring there but they should be the same person. I do the firing. I still at the register to let the cashier know that I’m ready. Do you know she continue to work? I told her that I’m ready to check out she continue on her phone, talking to her friends or whoever, still stocking the shelves four minutes before I asked her again to check me out. She comes to the register, laughing and talking on the phone on her way to the register. Another older man comes and ask her where’s certain aisle now she start laughing and tells her friend on the phone girl this man asked me for an aisle . We probably don’t even have. She told that man, I don’t know and start laughing, she should’ve been immediately fired. I should’ve never stood at the register for as long as I did, and I was the only customer in the line waiting on her. She never greeted anybody that walked through the door on the phone the entire time to get her attention I called the store phone, and then she hit it toward the register. That’s when I hung up. Today is August 7, 2024 that I’m posting missed so whoever the hiring manager is you know what employee you have on the job today at 2 o’clock in the afternoon look at your cameras and watch your employee

It’s a bad idea having self check outs especially at this location. There are alot of people scanning their items and not paying. I just watched a girl tonight scan and use her card that declined and immediately walked out with her stuff. When stopped by the employee she quick flashed a receipt someone else left. The employee didn’t even check it and let her go. A lot of people are stealing from here!!!

Displayed prices/ deals are not given to customers, management need to make sure displayed prices are respected and up to date otherwise moved.

Very clean and had some really good music. The checkouts were clean and the cashier was friendly. They work hard to keep the shelves stocked. Definitely will go back.

Please update your hours! Sat in parking lot for over 20 minutes and store never opened. It’s now 8:50am. Store was supposed to open at 8am. What type of business is this?

I’ve shopped at this store for years. It’s become an inconvenience at this point. The new chic is rude and that’s all that needs to be said. Not to mention the price increase. I will not be shopping here anymore unless it’s necessary. And I’ll make sure I go out of my way hot to shop here again. Have fun, it’s your downfall @DollarGeneral

You get what you pay for, incredibly low wages leads to no staff. Reduced staff leads to dirty, disorganized stores, high theft rates, early and frequent store closure, and unhappy overworked employees.
