Really neat place. Not like a theme park or zoo necessarily. Got to see, feed and pet horses, camels, donkeys and zebras. Nice calm place to sit and see the animals and enjoy the fresh air and fall leaves. Hubby has always thought a white tiger is awesome and we got to see one. I’ve never seen a kangaroo before today. Enjoyed this place and the owners were nice. Would say you can see it all in an hour. Wouldn’t really need more than 2 hours taking your time.

We were in town for a few days looking for some new adventures and this came up- it was an awesome experience getting to see all different types of animals- the staff was super friendly- but be smart and wear tennis shoes because I did not realize the terrain was a little rough and ended up breaking my sandals- but family friendly and reasonably prices for sure!!!

My friend Rachel and I stumbled upon Chestatee Wildlife Preserve and we are so lucky to have done so! The owner CW was so kind, so informative and made our experience an experience we will remember for a lifetime. You could tell how loved and well taken care of all of the animals are. Highly recommend Chestatee Wildlife Preserve. Thank you again CW we loved every minute.

We were the only one at the park when we arrived. There was a sign on the door where you buy tickets that said to call a number if no one was there. We called the number twice with no answer. Someone finally showed up and we paid $65 for 4 people and a bag of feed to get in. It had recently rained so it was a mess and the trail was not great at all. The animals were not in the greatest places for the most part but we were upset because the website has beautiful pictures of Elk and when we asked where they were, we were told they were no longer there because they had jumped the fence a while ago. We went there just to see the Elk that they said were there but they were not. They do not have enough animals to make it worth what we paid. We gave our bag of feed to another child with another family on the way out. It was a waste of money and it didn't even take an hour to see the few animals they had. Very disappointed.

I didn't know what to expect when we arrive and found a phone number to call to get tickets. However, the lady responded immediately and got us right in with instructions for our self-guided tour. We had such a fun time walking around at our own pace and exploring the park. My children had a blast guessing which animals we would see next. This is definitely a fun place for the family if you're ever in the area!

I think the owners have a great idea but unfortunately this is not a very well run place. It feels like a struggling business walking through some of the empty displays, and some cages that seem over populated. . I think this has a lot of potential if someone can really clean this place up and add some more displays and possibly educational activities for kids. My kids did enjoy feeding the zebras and donkeys, and they absolutely loved talking to the hilarious !

We did enjoy bringing our 2 grandbabies here, however this place is not stroller friendly!! It is do-able but it is also ruff. I did have a hard time coming back up the hill from the Buffalo, it was very hot, if you have a disability I do not recommend going down that hill!! It was very affordable, kind of small place but they are clearly working hard to make it better. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Some of the animals were to far away to see like the kangaroo, and alligator. We missed the sloths and reptiles because by the time we realized we had passed it the babies were tired, and I was give out from the gigantic hill. But all in all we loved it!! 2 and under is free, 2 and up was $10 ....

Worst experience since long. Was here in the last years and it was always a nice place. But now, everything is under construction and they charge the full price. We talked to the owner and the resolution was, that I should shut my mouth or I get sprinkled with water. Thanks again.

I'm sure it's expensive to feed all these animals, but I didn't feel the place warranted $15pp. We visited during construction, so we weren't able to see many of the animals. The staff directed us to walk down a path that meant we missed the white bison, the adult bears, the watusi, the camels, etc...basically that whole upper corner of the property! Instead, we saw a LOT of zebras, donkeys & emus.
It's definitely a rugged place with uneven terrain. We arrived right when they opened so we were able to watch them feed the tigers, which was the highlight of the visit. Then, when we arrived at the baby bears, they had just finished filling their bowls with food & by the time we got down to the wolves, they were feeding them too.

What a wonderful place to bring your family. It's a family owned farm/zoo, they're so helpful and knowledgeable about all the animals.Wonderful animals, I brought my 2 month old daughter and 17 month old son I will say we did stroller the whole thing, I would recommend carrying your little one if they don't walk yet (if you can) big hills but it doable with a stroller. swings and picnicarea if you want to bring your own lunch and eat there. A must see.A Q zoo near me

I can’t say enough about this beautiful place all of these angels get to call home. My daughter and I enjoyed meeting the wonderful people as much as we loved their (obviously adored) animals. This sanctuary is run by, hands down, some of the best people I’ve ever met in my life, and it’s reflected in their well behaved, calm animals. We’re already excited to be back, we actually didn’t want to leave. We also highly recommend you meet Flash and his girlfriend, the sloth couple! ;) They are hilarious and adorable!

We loved the opportunity to see all of the animals up-close! Especially the tigers! Be sure to get a bag or two of feed to feed the zebras and bison!

Hey, this visit was great! It was our first time visiting and the kids and I loved it. We walked through the entire place and when we came to the end we weren’t ready for it to be over. Seriously, we had a great time! The animals also had a lot of space to live in, our favorites were the camels, such amazing animals up close to see, zebras, bulls and wolves were cool! Thanks so much for having this place open, we really did enjoy it! We had fun!

I’ve been here multiple times to be honest. As someone who has volunteered with wildlife and work in the animal industry I have mixed feelings about this place. I support animals the the end of the day and do suggest going here to seeing the animals because you do get a hands on experience with animals you don’t typically get. Steve Irwin said the best way to get people to care for an animal is seeing them first hand. I write this review mainly cause this popped up as a wildlife rescue on google search and having been here I don’t recall that being advertised at all. If it’s an actual rescue tell the stories to make people care to come. It’s a fun experience but if there’s actual good going on there too have someone to tell the stories.

Wonderful experience for a nature loving kiddo! She spent lots of time talking to wildlife without feeling rushed. Staff was really kind! Animals were used to being fed and you can pet the zebras!
Remember to bring cash and go ahead and buy the optional feed bag.
