Was referred here with a CV Axle issue on a 2006 Scion XB. It fought them like it fought me. BUT, they were extremely diligent to be sure the issue was completely and 1000% fixed. Super nice folks. Very knowledgeable. Would definitely return if needed.

Absolutely the best transmission business. I went as a relive up without an appointment and was seen immediately. From the moment I entered the building I felt a at ease. Alysia on reception was amazing, professional and courteous she explained the procedure to check my transmission to me. The whole team of mechanics treated my vehicle impeccably and undertook a full car inspection as well as the transmission issue. They diagnosed a few minor vehicle items that would need attention in due course and showed them to me in person and educated me fully. I was so impressed. I did not require any transmission work and they showed my the liquid with minimal metal pieces therein. What a a relief. After the whole inspection was completed I was amazed that there was NO charge. That never happens. So from the start to finish I can only express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the whole team at Transmissions by Joe. If you need any work, then look no further that this shop. I'm embarrassed at how long it took me to realize was ripped off. I paid Joe to build me a 200 4R and he gave me a poorly built used transmission that he was not able to set up properly and failed to fix anything under the 3 year warranty he gave me. Each time I took it back, my car sat for a month before he got to it. He never could fix the fact that it fell out of 3rd gear and wouldn't shift in to overdrive until 45 MPH (which I fixed with a used valve body). He couldn't find the leak, which was a pump seal on the front. Someone in the shop even went so far as to throw several loose nuts inside the torque converter cover to make it rattle, and broke up one of the exhaust manifold donuts I gave him into the muffler. Yes, Joe.. I found that when I pulled off the exhaust.
The transmission ultimately failed with only 40,000 miles on it, and I had it rebuilt at a reputable shop. Thats when I also found out he removed the torque converter lock-up that was installed and intended to be on the transmission.
Why, Joe?
Why?
Why did you take advantage of me when I trusted you?
Why didn't you just admit you were in over your head and were not capable of working on my transmission?
Karma, dude...

Very pleased 1st time customer! 370z AT transmission suddenly would not go past 2nd gear. Transmissions by Joe diagnosed it free of charge, sent me a quote same day and now the car is fixed. Happy with the honest & speedy service.

Very expensive. Over $5,600.00 Dollars for a 6L80E transmission 2wd. For a 2009 Suburban. Way too much.

I have to say… We brought our car in which is a QX 70 2016 infinity. It was having problems with shifting gears. I must say… from the time I bought it in, they were very straight forward and honestly on what needed to be done. Their customer service is excellent and they are always available when you want to call and inquire about the car. They actually finished it very quickly, and I do appreciate their consistent communication because you can’t get that these days. Their prices are also very reasonable. I would highly recommend anyone who is having any transmission problems… to go to Transmissions by Joe. They are awesome!

I brought my car in after a terrible experience with another local shop. Was jerked around for a week and was told a new transmission was needed. So I came to see TBJ for a second opinion. What a huge difference. Susan was very nice, kept me informed and best of all the mechanics were honest and it ended up being an inexpensive repair. TBJ will be my first option for future car repairs.

Absolutely love this shop! The owners are the salt of the earth. Susan is wonderful. She keeps you updated with your vehicle. And Joe explains what is going on with your vehicle. They do what they say and they say what they mean. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I wouldn't take my truck anywhere else.

The staff over at TBJ are awesome and deserve to be recognized for this. I appreciate your honesty and value you expertise in what you all do. Sometimes the price can get ugly, but you alls attitudes and knowledge as well as guarantee makes it worth doing business with you all. Thanks for such a great experience. Already had it diagnosed by another mechanic shop but the price here was cheaper but my car Had MORE issues once I brought it here I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. This place will stress you out and your car will come back with a LIST of issues go somewhere else.
