Very nice staff even better scenery! No matter which you choose the upper or the lower it is well worth it!
The original outfitter on the Broad River since 1982. Current season: Last 2 long weekends of March. Open daily April thru September. October open long weekends only. Rentals on two river sections. Section 1 [Upper 6 miles] and section 2 [Lower 6.5 miles]. Upper is a mild and scenic river with moderate current. The Lower section has beginner whitewater with 4 major shoals each with at least 1 Class II rapids. Some areas on both sections are calmer especially just upstream of the rapids or shoals. The BRO rents sit-on-top kayaks on sections 1 & 2. Canoes rented for the Upper section. Shuttle service $10 per person for private boaters. Phone reservations required.
