Associated Credit Union is a full-service financial institution and one of Georgia's oldest, chartered in 1930. It is a non-profit cooperative owned by its members, ranked in the top 150 credit unions in the U.S. Deposits are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration. Members describe the staff as very nice, friendly, professional, courteous, helpful, and amazing. They treat customers like valued members and can take care of most banking needs locally, including through shared branching opportunities with other credit unions. The service is easy to use with reasonable fees and offers perks like free banking with no fees. However, a persistent issue at one branch is an ATM that frequently does not work due to an unreliable internet connection, a problem stemming from a long-term contract. While the employees are apologetic and helpful, this remains an unresolved frustration for some members. Despite this specific concern, the credit union is highly recommended for its helpful service and competitive products.

I needed a local bank account for cash transactions. Most of my business is performed online but there are occasions a local bank account is helpful. Their service is easy to use and fees are reasonable.
