Jay had the entire alternator job done from start to finish in about 2.5 hours and with a fair price. Jay is an honest guy, and his calm demeanor was really helpful dealing with the chaos of a complete breakdown in the middle of Decatur.

I came into Apna garage in hopes that they could diagnose a problem that I was having with my car. As I looked over his shoulder he walked me through the diagnostic process step by step for over 45 minutes. While the final conclusion was that my car had an engine problem that rendered it totaled, his generosity in sharing his time and expertise (without charging me) made my day :)

Mr. Jay has gone above and beyond with my Infiniti G35, or as he called it, the G-Wagon. He has helped keep it running well as the age catches up to the car. He works fast, efficient and gets the job done at great prices. I went in for engine heating issues, and came out a day later with the issue solved, an oil change, fluid top off, and dashboard lights cleared for less than $100. he is the man for all car issues.

Do not let the humble exterior deter you. This is the place to go if you need automotive work. There is an honest gentleman working there (the owner) who charges very reasonably.
I was visiting from Florida and needed some emergency brake work. He worked me in and got it done the same day.
I wished I was closer as I would have him work on all of my vehicles.

Fantastic mechanic! Very reliable, honest, and obviously proud of his work. He’s happy to chat with you endlessly about cars and show you everything he’s doing as he’s working on your vehicle. Very reasonable prices, too!
Recommend calling to get an appointment (usually scheduling ~1 week out). Only works on Japanese car brands.

Jay was such a help to me when my alternator went out. I arrived when he opened at 11am and he didn't hesitate to help diagnose that my 2010 Acura TL alternator was outputting to high a voltage. He scheduled to replace it the next business day. Thank you Jay. Your garage is a diamond in the rough of the city of Atlanta.

The owner (Jay) is a super-nice guy. He's extremely honest and trustworthy. His prices are fair. He tells you your options and doesn't over-sell. I was initially concerned by the modest appearance and semi-hidden location of his shop-- no need to worry, Jay is awesome, professional, and great to work with. *Highly* recommended! He has worked on three different cars for my family (soon to be four). I believe he works only on Japanese imports, but if that's what you have, Jay is your guy!

Had an awesome experience! Took my car in to get the AC fixed, and Jay was super friendly, honest, and fair with the pricing. He let me hang out while he worked and explained everything he was doing. I learned a lot just by watching him troubleshoot. We had some great conversations, and he really made sure to do everything he could to fix my AC. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for someone who’s genuine and knows their stuff!
