If your a collector of books, comics , dvds or collectables, definitely worth checking out. The prices are the lowest I've seen in the area. They also have a few Records.

Book Nook is an excellent place to find used books, music, movies, and comics & collectibles. Most of the music and movies are in pretty good order but some of the book sections are not very well organized (Plays and Poetry, I'm looking at you). I tend to do some basic straightening up when I'm browsing there: it helps me (and everyone) find things easier. There are pretty good size sections for school/classic books, new and used. Visit the large backroom for the less tidy "bargain" area.

The employee Amari or Amouri was so helpful. I ran into a dead batter while in the parking lot & I asked if anyone could assist me. He was so kind & I really appreciated that. I hope the owner sees this. Stellar young man!

Pretty good selection of books, vinyl, games and just overall and cool place. Staff was friendly. Store was a little outdated but added to its charm.

Always a pleasure to visit the Book Nook. Book Nook has been supplying me with entertainment for over four decades. You can always find something interesting that will provide you hours of enjoyment. From music, movies, vinyl records, books, comics and graphic novels, games, toys and all those hard to find items. Book Nook is the place to go!

The place was good, they had a large portion of comics. The place environment was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like is the fact they don't have a lot of manga, but I found a manga pretty good, called Dragon Drive. I recommend it if you look for pretty good comics ?

I went here today for the first time. I thought it was really cool. Very big store. I was greeted immediately and the two workers appeared to be friendly. I like how the store was organized. I definitely see myself coming back and just strolling down each aisle looking at books.

Wow! What an incredible waste of time. I've loved used bookstores all my life. Looking for books and discovering something new is such a great time. I've felt this way until today. The Book Nook is the most disgusting, dirty, smelly store I've entered in a long long time. It's disorganized, it's claustrophobic, and unkempt. Upon entering you are assaulted by the clear stench of rotten books only assisted by the choking stale non-Air conditioned atmosphere. Nothing is neat. Nothing is nice looking. Nothing says buy me. All the items scream, "Please run away!" I exchanged some books for "credit" which at the time seemed like a fair deal until you are confronted by confusing trade credit rules that make searching through the already ugly store stressful and not a kind experience. Finally, when I arrived at the trade counter with some meager books I struggled to find, sweating from the unbearable heat in the store I now discover the trade policy now can only be used towards half of my purchase. What is the point of trade credit if it cannot be used towards your purchase in whole? At that point it's barely even a discount.I'll never come back to the Book Nook. I'd rather let my trade credit rot like the smell from this horrible store.

I love Book Nook. My family and I have been there several times over the last 10-15 years. Whether we were trading or buying, it is a place that have many hidden treasures of books, albums, DVDs, CDs, comic books, rare collections, etc.But I was there today and my goodness, it was hot and humid inside. The air conditioning was out. That's why I am giving a 1 star rating. REALLY owner, manager, or CEO, it was sweltering in there. Especially when I went towards the back of the store, where there's no windows...it was like a sauna. The further I went back, the more I was visible sweating. It was stifling in the back. And along with the heat was mosquitoes. Horrible!!! Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!I applaud the staff there having to work in such an unhealthy environment. They were pleasant, despite being subjected to no air conditioning. They even apologized for the discomfort the customers had to endure. KUDOS to them. They should get a bump in their salary. There is a sign on the outside of the door, to close the door. WHY? On a day that it's 90 degrees or higher on the outside, what do you think it will be on the inside with no air conditioning and the front door is closed? Manager, Owner or whomever is responsible for making sure the building is operating in proper condition, you are FAILING at it. Ask yourself, "Would you work under those conditions that the staff and customers are?" You are putting your staff and customers at risk in such an unhealthy environment. This is Hot Lanta, and this summer has been brutal, no one should be subjected to that.I'll be back soon; I hope the air conditioning is working.

I most likely won't ever shop here again based on my experience earlier today. Here's what happened.- I called and asked the woman that answered the phone if she could check on a book for me. She was barely audible and hesitated but then confirmed that she would check for the book. I was on hold for 8-10 minutes and she never came back to the phone. So I hung up. I figured she may have gotten busy.- A few minutes later I arrived at book nook and walked through the door. Not a single employee bothered to acknowledge me. Not a wave, smile, "hello"...nothing.I walk to the comic area and find several copies of the book that I'd asked the employee to check for over the phone.- When I took my items to the front desk for purchase, neither employee acknowledged me so I stand in front of the one closest to me.- With her head still down and in her phone or device, she asks can she assist me. (I assume she is the employee that i spoke with on the phone). I asked if she could ring me up for these books. She rings me up and tells me to have a good day. Not once did she look me in the face. She didn't even hand me my bag. I walked out shaking my head because of the poor and unenthusiastic service I received.I probably won't be back. I'll spend my money somewhere that I'm treated like an actual person and patron.

Oh how I hate to leave a low review for this place. I used to LOVE going there. I usually went a couple of times a week just because it was such a pleasure just to look around, the folks were nice, and everything was organized well. Now, the place actually feels unhealthy. I don't think the floors have been cleaned in years. Every square foot of that floor is littered with debris. The books are generally in bad shape and no longer alphabetized. It is so warm and muggy that I had to sit down. I'm sure the place is still staffed with great/nice people, but the folks at the top really need to think about sprucing it up a bit. On top of this, it's increasingly difficult to find gems and the record collection is not only in bad shape but about 1/10th the size it was just a couple of years ago. I want Book Nook to succeed. I keep stopping by though my last few times have left me depressed so I space them out several months apart. I really want them to get on top of this place and fast. I know this review reads very personally but it's not about me. It's about the book lovers in this town that need a locally owned shop to cherish and call their own. With the amount of space they have and the longevity/past reputation, it could be such a nice, communal, hangout place..the go-to Sunday afternoon hotspot. Ugh, it's so bad, I almost want to go in and just volunteer to spend a month of weekends cleaning and organizing. I solemnly hope that I can update this review 6 months down the road and go on and on about the great improvements!

Cozy family-owned book, comic book, and gaming store. I couldn't believe how many books they had... the shelves just kept on going!4/5 stars because our shopping trip was cut short: despite the heavy rain and cooler temps, the back of the building was extremely warm. We couldn't continue to browse the books.

Great selection and prices. Can always find a steal in the sale section and they give reasonable book credit as well. Love this place.
