Brittany Raley was an awesome trainer in Georgie's Perfect Puppy class and Puppy Socials at Canine PhD! Professional, personable, and knowledgeable. So much Fun! All the pups & peeps loved her, and all of the staff. Wish it was closer to home, but worth the drive. Thank you Raley and Canine PhD!

Taking a group class with limited enrollment was just right. The instructor was great to manage individual needs and help everyone work with their individual dog’s situation. Highly recommend Casey as a trainer!!

Casey patiently answered our questions and educated us about how to interact with our pup in ways that strengthen our relationship and help deter destructive behavior. Our puppy thoroughly enjoyed his class and got excited every time he saw us put his crate in the car. It was the highlight of our week. I strongly recommend Casey and Canine PhD.

We’ve been working with Casey to help my service dog through a few weird fears she developed and I can’t recommend her enough! Casey is so sweet and follows up with our homework email that’s easy for me to understand and break down in time blocks. Can’t wait to have more lessons!

Canine PhD is the best training & boarding org. My dog Joey is a 3 year old reactive hound dog & the team at Canine, especially Casey, has changed my life cause I wasn’t sure I could keep Joey. Casey taught me how to use positive training to work w Joey. We also take classes like nosework w Meredith the owner, barn hunt & will do beginner agility soon. Working w Joey has made our bond stronger. All the staff are knowledgeable & they take time w the pups & the humans.

Canine Phd is THE BEST dog training center in Atlanta - period. After wasting thousands of dollars with two other “top” training facilities (including board and train, in-home private lessons and group classes) our extremely reactive Standard Poodle could not be walked down the street or be around guests in our house. Our last try for help was Canine Phd. I wish it had been the first! Their rewards approach provides a safe, happy place for you and your canine and includes board and train, private or group classes in a facility where the environment can be controlled for both social and work sessions along with offering in-home private lessons. The facility even includes a swimming pool for aquatic training!Under Meredith’s hands-on leadership she and her amazing certified trainers work as a team to conquer any of your dog’s challenges. Every person at the facility is a caring and talented professional including the schedulers! Thanks to CPhd, our dog is now able to walk without reacting when passing the many moving vehicles, people and other dogs in the neighborhood. He can greet people in my house without lunging and barking at them and for the first time is experiencing the fun of playing with other dogs. Our boy still has work to do but this is definitely the right place.Canine Phd has allowed us to keep the dog we love as an integral part of our family life. I cannot recommend Canine PhD highly enough : 10 Stars is not enough!!!

I just start off by saying I am a non-practicing veterinarian with no behavior experience. Canine PhD has been amazing at helping us deal with our rescue dog that is reactive and resource guards. Multiple friends recommended them and we couldn’t be happier. In addition to doing private lessons with Meredith with just completed the indoor reactive class and our boy Moose has made huge gains. We have also done board and train with Moose while on vacation and I have been so impressed. I have never boarded a pet before and they send photos and videoed every day which makes me so much more comfortable with being away from him. Thank you for all that you do, I cannot wait for the next class we will take!

We have been a client of Canine Ph.D. for the last 3+ years and I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about the entire team. We have a large german shepherd mix who exhibits extreme reactivity around new people and new environments, around basically everything. Meredith helped us, help him in more ways than I can count as we had no idea what we were doing as owners of a reactive dog. She initially helped us gain our confidence as owners through private and class training and by partnering us with the right vet practice. While our Petey will always be a work in progress, her training and decisive guidance was exactly what we needed. We have continued to use Canine Ph.D. for boarding as well. I never worry as I know Petey is in the best of care with professional kennel techs and trainers who understand how to approach and handle reactive dogs. I literally do not know what we would have done without the amazing team, from Michael, to Raley, to Casey, to Stephen and Donna (and others,) the entire team is fantastic. An added bonus are the amazing photos we receive during his boarding stays that truly demonstrate how happy he is while in their care! (Photos included below!)

Meredith and Bethany are awesome. They take a great approach and helped "the Zay" with her quirks. Have had one on one sessions with Meredith and taken multiple aggressive dog classes with Bethany. The whole staff is awesome and "the Zay" loves them all (which was an incredible accomplishment).

If you have a puppy with specific issues (e.g. hyper anxiety), their general puppy training may not be a good fit. When I adopted my pup during the pandemic, I signed up for Canine PhD's perfect puppy training after seeing good reviews on them. Unfortunately my pup was from the shelter and likely had a traumatic experience his first two months so he was extremely fearful and anxious even as a puppy. During the class, all he wanted to do was the bark at the other dogs (which is very disruptive to the other participants). The instructor put us in the very corner of the classroom in an attempt to help but after a few sessions, we decided to withdraw because many of the things taught in the classroom we already taught to our pup. Even though we continued to express concern regarding our pup not benefiting from the classes, I felt like the instructor dismissed us. Unfortunately, due to some personal circumstances, we weren't able to reschedule private classes and our money just went to waste.

Cannot say enough good thing about Canine PhD! They are knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Meredith gave us tips and training to help manage our foster pup's issues with ease. Their facility is fantastic (they even have a dog pool!) & everyone is very welcoming to pets & humans alike.

My husband and I can’t rave enough about the staff and amazing services we receive at Canine PhD. We have been loyal customers since 2018, having taken both of our dogs there for various sport classes (agility and barn hunt) and training (private and group). We have relied on their training and behavioral expertise heavily for our young german shepherd dog, as we learned to manage her reactivity to other dogs. Canine PhD was instrumental in helping us gain confidence with her.We also frequently board our shepherd in their kennel overnight. She receives the best care during her stays and the staff goes above and beyond by sending email updates and pictures of our girl, which we absolutely love. Canine PhD truly is her second home. We are so grateful to have access to such a top-notch facility where the staff cares for our dogs like family members. We highly recommend them!

Hands down best dog trainers in the metro area. Instead of just training the owner they also help you understand why your dog behaves the way they do. They help you learn that a certain action from you will most likely result in a particular behavior from your dog. And they train using positive reinforcement not training collars or other devices. If they can train the very stubborn dog in the picture, they can train any dog!
