We have had the best experiences with this Vet as an entirety for both our cat and dog. My family has been using Clairmont since the early 00s and while it has grown, it has consistently stayed professional, caring, responsive, and full of animal lovers. It’s clean. Their staff on all levels is incredible. Their front desk truly goes above and beyond. We’ve seen a variety of doctors and have been thrilled with them all. They have the sweetest nurses/techs/assistants. I’m incredibly grateful to their entire team. I truly have not a single complaint or critique.

Excellent practice. Clean, welcoming, and well managed. The front staff are friendly and helpful. Dr. George is an exceptional vet. He is extremely thorough and reassuring. My cat is much calmer at this practice than any other we have visited (and so am I!)

I have been taking my fur-babies here for years. No matter which vet or tech they see, they get treated with care.

The office staff is very friendly. Wait time is minimal. Dr. George was personable and handled my cat wonderfully. The vet tech staff is also great.

I've brought various fur babies here for years. We've seen different vets over time. Each of them have been wonderful.I've been told that the prices are a little high, but I've never felt that the cost/value was disproportionate. Patience and kindness are invaluable. They built a new facility recently, with some cool features. Warming tables for smaller animals, lifting tables for larger pets, TVs with birds for cats. They provide peanut butter cups during vaccinations or other stressful exams.Special shout out to Dr. Lauren Adams, Dr. Matt Bradley, Dr. Kelly Bradley and the owner, Dr. Mike Smith.

Wouldn’t recommend if you need anything but a wellness visit/checkup. Our 5 year old dog was diagnosed with pneumonia from blue pearl, a referral from Clairmont. We had to pay $$$ for antibiotics for 7 months through Clairmont - they didn’t do their due diligence and sold us antibiotics when his pneumonia was gone. We also were in contact with one main doctor and had trouble reaching her for updates, turns out, she was no longer employed there. We also got referred to go to UGA from Clairmont, and they killed our baby. Their referrals clearly didn’t help our family at all, now our family is smaller and we are stuck with multiple very pricey bills

Our service with Clairmont Animal Hospital has gotten worse with every visit. We took our dog here for cranial cruciate ligament surgery, and that experience was excellent. We loved it so much here that we decided to make this our permeant vet even though it was not close to home. This is one of our last great integrations. While on our honeymoon, we boarded our dogs with them, and they called us and informed us that our dogs had gotten into a fight, which was shocking for us. They spent the entire phone call ensuring that we knew it wasn't their fault and barely talked about the extent of the injuries. Our frustrations were further exacerbated when we returned to see the severity of the injuries and the massive vet bill that we had not authorized nor discussed on the phone. We should have left at this point, but we summed it up to a freak accident.Later, we brought our older dog in on 3 separate occasions because we noticed issues with her eye. Each time we were given medication to attempt to treat the symptom. No one recommended that we eye a veterinary ophthalmologist, nor knew enough to diagnose the issue. After no improvement in dealing with them, we decided to take our dog to Atlanta Veterinary Eye Clinic. On the first day of seeing her, they informed us that our dog had glaucoma. She had severely compromised vision because it had gone untreated for so long. At this moment, we decided to only take our dogs there for routine vaccines because the care continues to be subpar. In February of 2023, my father-in-law suddenly passed away, and we needed to abruptly leave town. We had no choice but to board with them again because one of our dogs was behind on their vaccines. Not only did they charge us daily to administer her eye drops, but when they ran out, they didn't say anything or attempt to refill the prescription but continued to bill us. We were completely done with them at this point, but in the months after losing a loved one, we could not locate a new vet.We are now traveling for our anniversary and were forced to leave our dogs with them again due to the other dog needing updated vaccines. Trust me, we called everywhere to see if anyone else would take them and give them their shots before boarding. Begrudgingly, we returned to Clairmont and mentioned that our dog had been scratching a lot. We wanted them to look at it since we already paid an exam fee. While traveling for my anniversary, I called EVERY DAY to find out what was happening with my dog. It got to the point that I had to pick my dog up without knowing the exam results that occurred 5 days prior. Again frustrated, I asked, "How can I be expected to pay for an exam that I didn't even know the results of?" They agreed and didn't bill me the exam fee. It took Dr. Bradley 7 days to get back to us on our dog's prognosis. I work overnight and sleep during the day. They called the following morning to obtain payment for the exam. I woke up and answered and told them to call back later in the evening (when I knew I would be awake)... They called back like 3 hours later at 1:30 pm. They proceeded to call us 2-3 a day until receiving payment for that exam. If only they had this urgency to get me my exam results. I AM DONE WITH CLAIRMONT ANIMAL HOSPITAL.

First visit with 2 nervous older dogs. The vet and tech were calming and concerned. The vet was very helpful, and I was pleased with the transition to a new office.

Both my pup, as well as my daughter's, are super high anxiety, especially around strangers. So, the vet tends to be stressful for all of us. However, I can't say enough about how kind and thoughtful the entire staff is with both of them. They really take the time to make our babies feel comfortable which, in turn, makes us feel more comfortable. They are also always available via phone or email for a quick question and, I've had a vet reach out to me after 8pm because they knew we were anxious for test results and wanted to make sure we got them as soon as we could. Even just today, I came across a sympathy card that was sent to me, signed by the entire staff, when my kitty passed away. Bottom line, they truly care and, to me, that is everything. I feel so grateful to have found them.

Dr George will not earn this clinic any stars. As the on call veterinarian he refused to make a simple call correct a prescription error to enable my pet to get his prescription in a timely manner.
