WORST GOODWILL IVE EVER BEEN TO. NOT ONLY WAS I FOLLOWED AROUND THE ENTIRE TIME BY THE RENT A COP I WAS UNABLE TO PURCHASE ANYTHING. IT WAS EXACTLY 8PM AFTER I WAITED 15 MINUTES IN LINE TO BE CHECKED OUT. WHEN I WAS SWIPING MY CARD I REMEMBERED THAT I NEEDED TO TRANSFER FUNDS TO MY ACCT SO I ASKED THE TELLER IF I COULD GO TO MY CAR AND USE MY PHONE TO DO THAT. SHE KINDLY AGREED AND SAID NO PROBLEM SHE WOULD WAIT. I RAN TO MY CAR AND TRANSFERED THE MONEY , RAN ALL THE WAY BACK IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES TO THE FRONT DOOR WHERE I WAS TOLD BY THE RENT A COP THAT THE MANAGER SAID NOT TO LET ME BACK IN. I HAD SPENT $92,76 ON JUNK IN THIS GOODWILL STORE BUT WAS IN MY OPINION DISCRUMINATEE AGAINST DUE TO MY ETHINTICITY. I DONT BELIEVE THAT THE FOUNDERS OF GOODWILL WOULD AGREE THAT REFUSING TO LET A CUSTOMER BACK IN THAT WAS RUNNING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT TRYING TO SPEND $92.76 IS WHAT BUILT THIS COMPANY. I WANT TO APOLOGIZE TO THE ORGANIZATIONS LIKE BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF AMERICA OR THE ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION THAT SUFFERED DUE TO THE LOSS OF INCOME AND POSSIBLE CHARITABLE DONATIONS THAT WERE LOST DUE TO THE LAZY AND RACICALLY MOTIVATED DECISIONS AT THE GOODWILL DECATUR THRIFT STORE. PS.. STAY IN SCHOOL OR YOU WILL END UP LIKE THE RENT A COP AT GOODWILL.

No carts the entire time I was there and still the dressing rooms aren't open, again. I guess they don't want folks to buy stuff.

The career center is a hidden gem, so many resources. What makes the experience unique is the genuine sense of a willingness to help you is across the board from every counselor. I’ve never seen anything like it. Chloe, Miss Debra, Miss Gwen, Phillip and too many others to name are so helpful. I’ll keep you updated.

If you like thrifting at Goodwills, you’ll love this one! Compared to other locations, this one tends to have more items and lower prices. It’s my fave Goodwill for thrifting.

Brought about 130 nice good condition books over. Was told the can't take books at this facility?? Tried to call to see if this was storewide or just this location? Recording told me this store not available via phone?? Seems like poor customer service. Now I have to unload all the books back into the house.

Such rude staff. Guy who a can only assume is the MOD back of house was yelling they were closed for donations while he was yelling on his cell phone. Repeatedly yelled it over and over again and it is only 6:15pm! I will not be donating or shipping here anymore.

I have come here a handful of times and have managed to find what I was looking for and more. They are decently organized with a good selection of items to look through. Staff are pretty on top of maintaining the shelves and helping at the front desk. I will definitely be coming again!

I was at this location to donate boxes of miscellaneous items and was told by the young man in the donation area that I had to unload the boxes from my car to the cart myself. I am an over 60 year old woman not in great physical shape and it is well over 90 degrees outside, but ok. I do that. The last 2 boxes won't fit on the cart so I put them on the ground next to it. He comes up to my car as I'm leaving. Knocks on my car window and tells my I have to put those last 2 boxes on a different cart across the way from that one. I got extremely angry at that point. Seriously. Not ok. I did move them but I wish I had just driven off and left them where they were.

One of my favorite Goodwill in town. Clean, bright, well organized by size and color. Easy to navigate. A large selection of linens and clothing.

Very unpleasant experience when I had to de-escalate an emotional employee.Strangest thing happened when I was carrying an item it seemed to have grazed this employee when we were both walking around an aisle and she flipped out accusing me of hitting her and went off yelling at me about how I hit her. I apologized to de-escalate the employee but was shocked at the reaction as we barely touched. If you’re this emotionally reactive and unstable working in a store where you have to be working around other people, you need to not be working there, especially considering this was on a Sunday morning when it’s even less busy than usual. It was very disturbing to see as a customer and feeling confused at her reactivity over something as minor as that —and then also to have to be the one to de-escalating the employee.Good luck to other customers that you won’t encounter this. Besides this unprofessional and emotional employee encounter it was very laid back in the store. I hope she can get some help because it seems like she really needs it.
