I’ve been volunteering at PAWS ATL for a few months now and really love it! They take very good care of all of their animals and work hard with them to find them loving homes. I recently adopted a kitty from PAWS and the process was simple, while still making sure that adopters have the right intentions when choosing a pet. If you’re looking for a new pet friend, I can’t recommend PAWS enough!

I took my dog to paws for her shots signed in and they came and got her they walked her in the building not only did I hear her bark cry at the top of her lungs they brought her back to my car I opened the door she jumped on my lap that's when the person informed me she had an accident. There was feces all on her back side and all on my lap they informed me she was scared when they put her on the scale. My dog is like my child how they help do so called animal lovers bring a dog back to there parent with feces on them I think it was disgusting, disrespectful, and just wrong I emailed the director and a manager both of whom did not get back to. Me I understand they are inexpensive but beware you get what u pay for .

I went here to get my dog vaccinated. When I arrived the car lot representative instructed me to get a number. There was a lady parked sitting in the car beside me but she did not get out of the car yet. I approached a lady with a black scarf and clip board and she informed me that I would be number 40 and the last person to be seen for the day. Then, the lady who was sitting in her car approached us both in which thelady with the clipboardrevoked my place and stated well she was here first and she will be the cut off. We will be hosting another event on the 21st. I just replied ok. This was poor decision making. The website does say first come first served but it does not specify any slots. Furthermore, if the place was at capacity and was not receiving anymore applications, I should not have been allowed to park.Lastly, the other lady parked before me, I asked for a number first and should have received one.

My family wanted to add another cat so I stopped by Paws to take a look. Well I was not greeted and really treated like they didn't want me there. The guy at the desk talked to his co worker for a long time before even asking if he could help me. Not discouraged, I said I would like to see the cats available for adoption please. His response was cold and rude... Well the way it works is you fill out an application first and then look at them online. Excuse me??? Give you all of my personal information before I'm even sure you have a compatible cat? Look online for a cat? Excuse me how would I determine the temperament and if the cat even likes me? I observed the way he spoke and smiled to other people. So I can see that they're just not welcoming to certain people. I've been a pet mom and animal lover all of my life and I've never been treated like this when trying to adopt or save a pet. I love animals but definitely pass on this place.

I got my dog from here 7 years ago. He just died but was my special companion all these years. They made adoption easy and checked in to ensure we were doing well.

I came looking for a pet cat to adopt when i got there i had to let myself through the entrance gate. It wasn't no one there to greet me. The office sit in the back. I walked to the office and ask about cat adoption. The lady at the desk seem like she didn't want to be bothered so she pointed me to the part they had the cats in. I got to the cat building & it was 4 rooms but i barely workers in sight. I didn't just wanted to walk in there. You would think rules would be in place. I finally found someone and they told me I could go in the rooms. Im like okay.. i went to each of the rooms but the last room was to much to bare. One cat was locked up because she doesn't like other cats which is understandable. The other cat was sleeping and the last cat was trying to run out the door. I finally got him to come around and he played with me alittle then i felt teeth & nails. I had to shake my arm just to get him away. It was no worker in sight. If you know he have mood swings why not put him in the cage...

I have been volunteering, fostering and adopting from and supporting PAWS Atlanta for 9 years. I adopted two dogs from the program, both of whom started out as fosters. I currently have a sweet easy chihuahua potato (my foster fail) and the world’s easiest elder-bull (my foster) living happily under my roof.I’ve watched the PAWS team in action, and they handle the work, and, sometimes, the really challenging days of rescue with grace.I come out a couple of times a week to walk dogs and play with cats, so I get to see the shelter and the team in action, week in and week out. They move mountains every day for animals in need: dogs and cats whose owners need a safe place for their pets to land, pets left behind by their people, animal emergencies, supporting adopters and fosters, helping potential adopters find the right fit.Laura, Christa, Harriet, MarLee, Brandon, Michele, Cassandra, Heather, Mike, Morgan, Lillie, Lawrence, Brenna, Sam, Phillip, Al, Amanda, Zach, Dr. Erica, Kirsten, Kristen, Joe, Peyton, Delaney, and Kayla — they show up every day in a hundred different ways for the animals in their care. Watching them work is like taking a master class in being a good human being. If you’re looking for a companion, I cannot say enough good things about the PAWS team and the hundreds of dogs and cats waiting for new homes.

Adopts my amazing dog from PAWS in 2019, and can’t recommend this shelter enough. They are no-kill and take great care of their pups, with an intake process and foster program as well so that they are ready to find their forever home. PAWS is simply the best - adopt, don’t shop!
