Participated in my first class here. Very unhelpful and unwelcoming. No guidance or assistance for newcomers who have no idea what they are doing where to go or how the class functions. Felt very lost and out of place. Will not be returning.

For my first time taking a class like this it was pretty great, slightly challenging but great! I definitely plan to be back

Membership is nearly impossible to cancel, which is particularly frustrating for an expensive membership. Would not recommend joining. Instructors are great, but classes are crowded.

Coming off a back injury and a year of physical therapy, I began the year by gifting myself Pure Barre. The difference that this fitness plan (and this community!) has made in my physical and mental health has been one of the greatest gifts of this year. I look forward to every class - no matter how early or late and no matter whatever else the day holds. Thank you to the amazing squad of Pure Barre Decatur for their support, expertise, energy, and kindness! Here's to another year of good health and community!

Do not book here is you have ClassPass!I had a 645 class, drove 30 mins to get there only to find that they have no parking! I drove around the block for 10 mins, until i found parking. Ran to the studio only to be told that they don’t let anyone in after 3 mins & they could not rebook me because i was ClassPass and their system do not communicate & if i was a member they would have been able to text me and inform me about a free parking garage around the corner. I’m absolutely furious because i just wasted my time, money and gas!

Very friendly stuff! I loved the class and the way they taught it. They take into consideration any injuries or problems you have in order to adjust. A very fun experience!

I tried out a class with Ellen using Class Pass and immediately signed up for an unlimited membership. There’s a great schedule so I’ve been able to go 4 times in a week—a few in the AM before work and a few in the evening after. The instruction is A++ and I’ve enjoyed other instructor’s class as well: Pam, Rachel, Jasmine.I’ve only taken Classic and Foundations so far but love it. (And if you’ve taken mat Pilates before you’ll have some basic knowledge of a few of the warm-ups it isn’t intimidating). The classes are challenging in a GREAT way. Little movements really work out the body ✨✨I definitely recommend checking them out. The vibe from everyone who attends is really laid back and friendly ☺️

Joining Pure Barre is the best thing I’ve done for myself in years. The staff and instructors are super nice and helped me choose a workout class best suited to me needs. So glad I did this

The only cult I’d ever join. The instructors are amazing, as are the staff and clientele.

Pure Barre is a one of a kind workout, that doesn't just fit women but men to. Working on strengthen the stabilizer muscles with thigh, seat, arm, and core workouts, all the classes are sufficient for a nice sweat. The Decatur location is highly recommended; all the instructors are kind and they make it an effort to remember your name. The owner is also very sweet. Some days are more crowded than others, but with the 2 years we missed from COVID, my social meter has a little extra battery in it. Get off the couch and sign up immediately for a free course.

I took a 7am Empower class with Emily, and it was awesome—albeit a little challenging for me! But I pushed through with minimal stopping haha. This class definitely moved quickly, but Emily was great about coming over to make gentle adjustments on my body so that I got more out of each exercise. If you are not consistent with exercise (like me) and are trying to be better about that, perhaps start with the Align or Classic classes? (Align=pure barre plus yoga, Classic=less intense/fast-paced pure barre, as kindly explained to me by Emily!) Empower could be difficult to keep up with if you haven’t been to any fitness classes in a while—but hey, I came out on the other end, so if you’re looking for a challenge, I’m sure you will, too!Lastly, and I want to emphasize this: Both the instructor, Emily, and the front desk lady, Rebecca, were SO kind. No one tried to push me into anything in terms of signing up for more classes, as suggested by some other reviews here; if anything, my experience was the opposite. The women in the studio made sure I was well informed when I asked questions about classes, and I never felt pressured to do anything! Rebecca welcomed me in with great energy and made sure to let Emily know it was my first Pure Barre class, and after class she answered some questions of mine and chatted afterward for a few minutes—all with a big smile. Emily also answered my questions about the different classes and what might be best for me to try next, and she was very warm even after watching me struggle through Empower! Lol. The class itself felt like a safe space, and the building was very clean. I hope you try it and like it as much as I did!

Tbh I was excited to come as I was looking for a fitness studio to call home. I was there on a trial class and had every intention of purchasing my next class if not a whole package today. However from start to finish the front desk person was uninterested and under welcoming. She didn't explain to me anything about the studio, the class I was going to take or anything. She was only interested in speaking with me if I wanted to purchase the higher class package...if not I was invisible. So much so, I said "Thank you, have a great day, bye" and no one said anything as I was walking out the door. I loved the class, however I will be finding another studio. Hopefully I can find my pure barre home :)

It's much better than I expected. Honestly, I never took a class like this before, so I didn't really know what to expect, but the few pictures and clips of it I saw made it look easy. Ha! It was not. They mean it when they say a full body workout. Take one of these classes, and you'll know exactly which areas of your body are fit and which are weak. I found out my weak spot is my shoulders during this class. It's not hard impact, but it's a tough workout. You will be sore the next day but also in better shape. The instructor is very nice, and so is the staff. I've only done one class so far, so I will update this after I do more but so far. I love it. I would highly recommend it.

Rebecca is an amazing woman and we connected almost immediately! I was supposed to come in for a intro class on my birthday but had to cancel (sad face) She sent me a picture of the decor they had set up for me!! How amazing!!!! I spoke with Andi (the manager) today and she was super professional and I cannot wait to be apart of the family...the explanation of barre was amazing and I'm ready to unlock a new body!!!!
