I have used Summit for auto issues for over thirty years. I have never found a reason to go elsewhere. Rather than charging me for unnecessary repairs Marc lets me know if there is nothing wrong. In addition to mechanical repairs Summit does body work. Although unrequested, a Summit employee was nice enough to clean up (gratis) some marks left by a nearby collision repair shop.

Extremely disappointed, long-time customer let down after costly repair and repeated misdiagnoses
I’ve been a loyal customer of this shop since 2013, but after my most recent experience, I can no longer recommend them.
I brought my vehicle in after a transmission failure, and they diagnosed it as such. I authorized a $7,300 transmission replacement. After picking up the car, I immediately noticed strange vibrations during low-speed turns and brought it back. They kept the car for a full week, only to say they couldn’t find anything wrong and told me to “come back if it gets worse.”
I returned again weeks later, insisted on a ride-along with a mechanic, and only then did they acknowledge the vibration. I came back again a week later and was suddenly told the rear U-joint had failed, quoted another $1,400. I went for a second opinion and was told the issue was actually the rear differential, not the U-joint at all.
That’s four visits, three missed diagnoses, and no accountability whatsoever. For over a decade, I trusted this shop with my cars, but not once during this ordeal did they take responsibility, not even an apology.
After spending over $7,000 and wasting so much time and energy, this experience was frustrating and deeply disappointing.

Highly reputable and trustworthy shop!
I came in for a second opinion due to a squeaking noise whenever I drove with the AC on. Summit quickly identified the issue as a worn suspension belt and were able to order the necessary parts to arrive before an upcoming trip. They quoted me five times less than another mechanic I had previously seen. I truly trust them with any car concerns now. I just wish I had discovered them sooner—before my move!

This is the kind of place you take your car to for years and years. They are reliable and they will get to know you and treat you like family.
I bought a car from my aunt and she told me to take it to Summit if I ever had problems. When I first went there, they remembered my aunt and helped me transfer all the maintenance records into my name.
When my hybrid battery went out (very expensive to fix) they put in special effort to go back in the records and found that my aunt had purchased a battery with a lifetime warranty the last time she had gotten it replaced. They fixed my car at no cost to me and saved me a huge amount of money.
That’s the kind of people they are, they will go the extra mile for you instead of looking for any chance they can get to make a quick buck off of you.
As someone who is sick of dealing with shady mechanics, I will probably never take my car anywhere else.

Hopped in my car in the morning to discover a flat tire. Marc and his team were incredible diligent in saving me a good bit of headache.
Their compassion and empathetic approach to business will have me returning for future mechanic needs without a question.

I've been meaning to write a review for Summit Auto and it's about time I do it. I've started taking my old Accord here a little over a year ago and I can't say enough good things about the level of service. I've had regular maintenance work done, as well as some major issues with engine oil leaks and even some collision damage. Every single time it's been honest and fair pricing, the job done right, and in a timely manner. I know that smaller shops sometimes struggle with timing compared to a large dealership, but Summit has always been good about letting me know when they will work on my car and they stick to it. Makes it so much easier to plan when you only have one vehicle at home. The staff is responsive and extremely knowledgeable from their many years of experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.
