I'd give this place zero stars if I could. And the manager Shelly is absolutely trash. I called because I got a defective product that needed to be picked up to return, the man in customer service kept transferring me to her but this b answered once, put me on hold and never answered again.

Our water pipe burst and my husband is fixing it himself. Not only did the manager let us in at 7:55 when they close at 8, the most kind and helpful associate, Mr. JB saw us looking around for a part and helped us find what we needed in the nick of times. Now this is customer service! In a time now where there is so much disconnect between doing good and helping people, we needed this! Thank you so much!

I receive excellent service from a young man named Taff he helped me with all my stuff that I had in my cart, including all my bricks. I was wondering how I was going to manage all these things, and he was just in the parking lot, putting away the carts, and he offered to help me unpack everything in my cart. I really appreciate it and he has a beautiful smile. Very nice young man so I have to give kudos. Well appreciated.

I truly recommend and I mean truly avoid this store with a passion. It's ALRIGHT if you have to go here let's say once every 5 months of blue moon,but to be a regular it's way too much..First off the attitudes are TERRIBLE, they don't reprimand the employees,they come off annoyed and condescending to the customers, they snap at customers and overalls get away with behavior that wouldn't be accepted at any other department or chain store. I have seen employees get into verbal back and forth with customers... unacceptable.The layout of the store is outdated to an extent. There is no contractor parking, it's always like a game of pac man trying to get in an out..they NEVER have enough carts or any around you have to either search for one around the store or you have to wait for someone to get finished loading there material to get the one they where using..My main thing is I can't spend money at a place I feel I'm constantly being disrespected at or I have to coddle and stroke the employees ego to get customer service.Too many bad instances here, one the employee walked off as I walked to the register went to the one on the other side and the cashier is just talking and talking, I had to stop her and say "can we check out"...another was when I was at self check out and the employee came and took the scanner out my hand, like is this not self check out? Another was when Im in line waiting to check out and another female employee comes and just pushes my cart out the way as I'm leaning on it...didn't say excuse me or anything, then another was when I asked another lady to back out the transaction so I could put my pro number in, she got an attitude and started bad talking me to another employee. The disrespect at this store for contractors is off the chart. I will not be back.

The worst Home Depot i have ever been too. Stood in the paint department 45 mins while James was short ,had an attitude and could barely be bothered to help speed up the already agonizingly slow process. I will never shop at this store location again.

The young lady with the short hair who is the team lead is excellent. When I came another time for the same rental the others were a bit . . . confused, but they tried to be helpful none-the-less.I'd recommend, but bring your patience with you.

Avoid shopping at this location. It is the worst store in the metro area. The " attitude" both inside and outside is intolerable. As well, off duty police wait to write tickets to people loading their merchandise.

I moved to the Decatur area back in October and was stoked to find out that The Home Depot was less than a mile away from my house! Since my boyfriend and I have a lot of home projects on our to-do list, we visit quite often. Every time I visit, I've received quality customer service. The staff is very helpful and friendly - they're always willing to put your needs first and assist with any questions you may have. Since it's spring, I visited today (03/01) to buy some plants, fertilizer, and potting soil. The cashier was so joyous and chatted with me about the lovely weather we had today. I wish I knew her name so I could give her some recognition! All in all, this location is great and I will continue to shop there for all my home projects.

Although they did have the equipment that I needed to complete my job and tasking I was Frustrated by the lack of knowledge given me upon my return. Because the assistant did not have the knowledge base to give me the proper equipment.

Today I had the pleasure of interacting with Brian in the paint section of your store. Not only was he extremely polite and exhibited the best manners, he responded to my "Excuse me sorry to bother you" with "It's no problem Queen". I'm wasn't expecting that but it was much appreciated titled from him. He was so helpful and answered all my questions. As a woman in a home improvement store it can be quite intimidating because I'm not handy AT ALL. If y'all have employee of the week, month, year whatever he deserves it. That young man earned it today dealing with all my questions. Move him up to whatever is next for him. Exactly move him 3x up the ladder.

Tool rental is a joke. Chipper broke and they still charge me the full amount. I didnt get to finish the job. Necer renting from this store again.

A favorite HD store! Customer service: I frequent this store a lot! Always a delightful visit and the staff is very helpful. On my most recent visit, I encountered Mr. William in electrical. He came to work with a smile on his face and was ready to provide some knowledge! I loved it! I thought that HD sold dog products for some reason, but he let me down easy (and playfully) and told me to just go to Walmart. Lol. Store: I don't always find what I need on the shelf, but a staff member will either ask to provide assistance or I'll find one and they do. The first step is to always look at the very top of the bay for a box with the 6-digit sku to see if they have it available at all or look online. Saves a ton of time!! Also, if you need work done on your home, there's usually some kind of contractor shopping just like you. I met two on my visit. Love killing two birds with one stone (Wish I could find a different quote because that sounds gruesome!) HD would make a killing if they sold pet products. Just an idea!Would I recommend? Yep!Will I be back? Most likely next week :)

Rented a drum sander from here that was completely out of level. I expected that the equipment I was renting would be checked before I rented it, so all floors had been sanded with an out of level sander. The associates didn't seem bothered and wouldn't even allow for an extra day of rental to fix their mistake.
