We’ve been coming to Highlands & Cashiers for years now and Julep Farms is the spot to go for some food and top notch cocktails while the kids run around the farm. They have hills to roll down, mini horses and cows to feed. We met Rick the owner and he took the kids and ourselves on a tour and showed us all the baby ducks, the new calf and all the dogs and animals on the farm. He was tending to all the pumpkins and plants and dropped everything to make sure we had a great time.
Even though Hurricane Helene ripped through the area, all the local business would love for you to come and have your business. They are all open and ready for season.

Enjoyed a very good meal with a large group of people and the service was excellent. Laura made the experience especially nice due to her wonderful personality and efficient service. We'll be back again!

This place is just a magnificent spot with the beautiful mountains as a backdrop to beautiful cottages, a top notch restaurant, and farm where you can cut your own fresh flowers, walk the pristine grounds, and, oh the boutique! My favorite part! From hip to resort wear they have it all. The price point is excellent, the clothing is beautiful and the owner is so helpful and friendly. I just had to make sure my husband was nowhere near me when I cashed out. What a wonderful experience it was. If you are ever in the area I encourage you to stop by to stay, or have a great lunch or dinner and just take in the beauty of this place. It's truly a gem!!!!

Like a fairytale scene at @julepfarms not to mention the incredible lunch there too - Grilled peach ? burrata salad with smoked balsamic glaze! Every detail was thought of and music is playing behind the scenes all over the grounds. They have a bloom bar where you can pick your own wildflowers. ? A destination worth driving. #julepfarms #fairytale #dillard #dillardga #flowerfarm #garden #bloombar #flowergarden

5/5 stars!!!
We were greeted by the cutest cows and ponys, they’re right at the front ready to be pet! We then ventured inside to the adorable shop and grabbed some coffee! After exploring the beautiful spaces, and washing our hands, we headed to pick our own flowers! The annual flower picking even is currently going on during select days and times so be sure to check and see because it was so much fun!
On our way to pick our own flowers, there was corn hole and we had to get a quick game in!
The scenery is absolutely beautiful and then we made our way over to the bar near the flowers where we met Rick! We love Rick!!! My boyfriend and I purchased one flower bouquet along with the current mocktail and cocktail (soooo good! We have a peach mocktail and watermelon cocktail!)
We were able to pick the most beautiful bouquet and had the best time together! We sat and spoke with Rick for a bit who was such a kind soul.
We are now back on our way home from a fun time in North Carolina and this was the perfect ending. I’m so happy we stopped
**people can be a little harsh with reviews, and unfortunately those reviews can make future customers second guess wanting to come, but we are soooo happy we decided to see for ourselves!

Food and drinks: This is a must stop when we are visiting the area. The view and grounds are surpassed only by the delicious food offerings. The shrimp and grits were the best I’ve ever had enjoyed outside on the beautiful patio?. Will definitely be back.

Do yourself a favor visit Julep Farms! First the location is stunning. It’s in the foothills of the smoky mountains near the blue ridge parkway. It’s gorgeous in all seasons. The property is meticulously maintained. The buildings, cottages and the farm set the stage for the best meal you’ll find in the area. Farm fresh eggs were delicious! Every dish we had was so good we’ll be talking about it for weeks. The service was fast and fun. There’s an adorable shop for clothing and home accents. We have made Julep Farms a MUST VISIT destination when we are in western North Carolina.
Noteworthy details: Designer cocktails with farm fresh ingredients

Always looking for a way to rip people off and not pay what’s owed. That goes for contractors and employees. Ridiculous considering their sky high prices for mediocre services

First time visiting their restaurant-kitchen. Poor service in the bar area. I ordered a $17 Julip Farms Caesar salad. The lettuce was old, I noticed there were not croutons neither bacon as stated in the menu. have to ask the bartender and she came back saying sorry we are run out of those items. This is in Friday lunch time! Disappointing.

Came to visit the animals and grab an iced matcha with my mother in law how was in from Australia. The property is beautiful and the animals are sweet. But the matcha and the service I got were terrible. That was THE worst iced matcha I’ve ever had. And the girl seem annoyed and not very friendly. I would never go back to buy anything but would definitely go back to see the animals

I am sad to share that our experience was beyond disappointing. Excited to visit the restaurant, my friends and I booked reservations weeks in advance. Upon arrival, food littered the floor, tables were dirty, the serving staff failed to make eye contact or clean our table until we had to ask multiple servers multiple times, and the employees seemed generally unpleasant. Most interesting, when we asked for an additional plate (we all ordered our own entrees), the restaurant charged us $5.50 simply to bring us an extra plate (which we no longer needed once we received it as it took so long to deliver). The food; however, was nevertheless tasty. When we shared our experience with the owner, she appeared disinterested. The setting is beautiful and the gift shop is lovely; however, I would not ever eat in the restaurant.

We drove up to Dillard to stay at Julep Farms for Valentine’s. We stayed in The Derby cottage and it was absolutely adorable! So charming and cozy! We made a reservation at Julep Kitchen for Valentine’s dinner and it was exceptional! I had the sea bass and it was the best I’ve ever had! Our waitress, Jennifer, was friendly and provided great service. Everything about our stay was perfect!??
