We shop here frequently but had a very bad experience last night about 7 PM, receipt shows 18:56 time. Handed male cashier gas card to reload and $100 bill, he loaded card and handed back to me, I asked for 2 other items, and pull out money for those and he says I owe him for gas card. I said Son I gave you a $100 bill, and he argued I had not. I knew I had since I only had one hundred dollar bill and two fifties in my wallet, so I gave him the two fifties, went to car to give husband gas card to pump gas, and he said go in and ask for manager, I did and male clerk was pulling money to drop in safe and I asked him not to drop yet, I needed manager, and lady came up and grabbed cash drawer and threw aloaf of bread on counter and said she was trying to go home. She took cash drawer and went somewhere to office supposedly for a cash count, came back and said his drawer was not over $100. I asked her to view cameras, because I knew I gave him my $100 bill, she said I can't you'll have to come back in the morning, and she walked away. So living 20 miles away, I have tried calling all morning but only get a busy signal. Very Disappointing and Frustrating!! But I know God will get this handled!!

Suppose to close at midnight. I needed a bottle of motrin for my mom. I would have been in and out in less than 3 minutes. I get there at 11:53. I'm running to the door at 11:54. Lady looks right at me with the door half open, yells at me that they are closed, shuts the door and locks it with 6 minutes left till closing. I know it was last minute but if you say you're open till midnight then you should be open till midnight and not close a few minutes early. Luckily a gas station was opened. Absolutely useless. I will go out of my way to spend my money before going back to any Dollar General again.

Staff was rude, we got gas (yes, a DG that has gas pumps) and went in to get snacks and drinks (traveling) and when we asked for the ladies room key the staff said, nastily, "it's lost". We set our things down and left, I won't spend money where my presence is unwanted.
