“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Long Overdue Review – The Best Childcare in Douglasville

As an educator and a very selective mother, I don’t trust many people with my only daughter—but I trusted Sunbrook Academy. And let me tell you, this review is long overdue.

I toured several childcare centers in Douglasville, read tons of reviews, and visited multiple locations before making my decision. While Sunbrook may be on the pricier side, the quality of care, communication, and genuine love they provide is unmatched. If you’re looking for a place where your child will be nurtured, respected, and truly cared for—this is the place.

Let’s talk about the infant room. Ms. Ebony cared for my daughter like she was her own. That kind of peace of mind is priceless. I had no worries when I dropped her off. (Don’t mind the look on her face sometimes ? , she’s an amazing woman. She’s just about making sure that policy is being enforced and kids are safe in her care.) Ms. Jasmine teaches with grace and professionalism! She loved my little one. There’s also another amazing staff member—tall, slim, always bouncing around helping wherever she’s needed. Her energy and presence didn’t go unnoticed. Sadly she moved up with the bigger kids. And at the front, Ms. Payton and Ms. Kim are phenomenal. Every question I had, every concern I brought up—they were always right there with kindness and clarity.
My daughter had just moved to the next room for 2 year olds/walking one year olds and those ladies are amazing as well! Had my baby sleeping on her cot by herself within about 1 week ?

And here’s the funny (and very real) truth: because of the distance from home and my job, I considered moving my daughter to a daycare that was just five minutes from my house. I even requested a withdrawal and finished the paperwork. But I couldn’t do it. Instead, I drove 22 minutes to drop her off and 22 minutes to pick her up—on top of working full-time. That’s how much I trusted them. That’s how much it mattered to me that my daughter was in their care.

There were mornings when she reached for her teachers as I dropped her off and afternoons when she didn’t want to leave. As a mother, especially a mother who works in education, that told me everything: she felt safe, loved, and happy.

Sunbrook Academy is more than a daycare—it’s a village. And even though I’ve since moved out of the city, I will always be grateful for the role they played in my daughter’s early development.

So parents, guardians—invest in your child’s care. Pay the tuition or get the assistance if you need it, but do not let negative reviews deter you. Maybe someone caught a bad day, but my experience has been nothing but consistent, loving, and exceptional.

“I really struggled with coming to terms of finding a daycare for my daughter after being use to an in home daycare. I love Ms. Diana and so does my doodle bug(3 yr old classroom)! She is so sweet and I can feel how she genuinely cares about the kids. The director Mrs. Melissa is the best director you could ask for. I have worked in childcare for over 5+ years and I have never seen a director so hands on, patient and reassuring. It amazes me that no matter what time I drop off or pick up it’s nice, quiet and smells good. Most daycares are loud or someone is screaming crying but nope even the baby room is always settled and in their comfort zone. Everyone is always polite and friendly even the young ladies that assist in the afternoons!”
