First off, I asked for a quiet room. On check-in I was given a first floor room. I asked him for a top floor room and he gave me a 2nd floor room a couple doors down from people smoking pot and underneath what sounded like a heard of elephants but this wasn't the worst of it.
The room was FILTHY and in horrible shape. Handles were falling off cabinets, appliances hadn't been wiped down, there was food dried on the silverware, there were horrible water stains on the ceiling, a public hair on the inside of the toilet seat and a drop of liquid 🤢. In the room one light bulb was burned out, the smoke detector was falling out of the ceiling, there were stains on the carpet and there were long curly black hairs on the bed. I've got straight brown hair.
I was disgusted and took pics and went to ask for a new room. He didn't believe me. He didn't apologize. He went and looked at the room and said "there's nothing wrong, this is a standard room." What the???! I asked if he saw what we saw and I could show him the pics. He said no. He was really cold. He said he could give us our money back or we could look at another room. I said only if it's clean.
We looked at another room. Again, not on the top floor like I asked, but mostly clean. And it has working lights, a working smoke detector and no hair in the sheets. Still, a disgusting experience and I don't have any clue how this hotel is rated so well.
Multiple rooms had screens missing from windows, holes in screens and more.

If you like roaches, weed, and housekeepers who never show up but claim you have a sign on your door telling them not to come in then this is the hotel for you. The only good thing about this place is when Sury works.

Horrible!
If you are a NON-SMOKER, turn away!
When we booked the hotel room, it asked if you wanted a smoking or non-smoking room. That should've made it questionable right there. Just because you get a non-smoking room, that doesn't mean the room has not ever been used by smokers in the past.
When we got into our non-smoking room, we were hit by a pungent perfume smell. I could tell right from the bat that they were trying to cover up other stenches with it, but I couldn't really pinpoint what the odd stench that was.
I probably got 2 hours of sleep that night until I couldn't bear the stench anymore. It was so bad that it woke me up. It was clear as day that this room was used by smokers in the past, and everything was imbued in tobacco, maybe pot smoke from the carpet, bed, and couch to walls.
We packed immediately as we couldn't continue to stay there. We couldn't have our 8 year old child be exposed to 3rd hand smoking all night long.
Even the elevator smelled like cigarette smoke.
Also, the ice making machine makes an echoing loud noise as you can hear each ice cube drop onto the metal grates.
And lastly, we could hear loud music coming from outside, we assume there was a concert going on.
Since we couldn't find other hotel rooms available at 2 in the morning in the area, we ended up sleeping in the car. Our clothes even smelled like cigarette smoke.
Update:
We were promptly contacted by the director of operations, and they have graciously offered us a refund for our 4 hour stay at the hotel. Their customer service response was above expectations!

My daughter, wife, and I checked in late. The desk attendant was kind. Once we headed to the room, we started to smell cigarette smoke in the elevator. When we got to the room we smelled a pungent perfume stench. We were wondering if they were trying to cover up the cigarette smell. Keep in my mind that we are non smokers and we got a non smoking room. Through the night we kept on hearing the ice maker dropping ice into the tray in the freezer. I closed the door, but the cigarette/perfume stench got worse. We all couldn't sleep. There was a concert or a club that had very loud music nearby, too. I know the hotel can't help that. The smell was so toxic that we packed up and left. We told the desk attendant about the issue and he agreed/acknowledged the issue. At this point it was 2:30 in the morning. We checked at other hotels and they were booked. We ended up sleeping in the car for the rest of the night. Don't ever book with this hotel. Yes, they charged me for the 4 HOURS that we stayed there that night!

The room was clean and large and the hotel was quiet. The only real complaint was there is so much pot smoking going on just outside the hotel and even the inside smells like pot. I’m all for you do you, but the smell is overwhelming.

The suite was uncleaned! Very! Call for the bathroom sink to be fixed since the water wasn't going down and the tub to be cleaned. Only the sink got fixed. The bathroom was left uncleaned. I had to purchase products to clean it prior to using it. Every Sonest I've visited has been really cleaned and up to standard until I stayed at this.

This is a very good hotel. I have not gotten service like this in a long time. Each staff member that I talk to was complementary and willing to help me with everything. They also change my rooms because of a discrepancy with no problem. Even though they don’t have a bar or kitchen, they have coolers with reasonably priced foods and drinks, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Every room also has a kitchen and refrigerator.
Walkability: The location is in walking distance with sidewalks to several restaurants, including Korean barbecue, Bahama breeze, and a waffle house.

Scam Central ! Beware of increased prices. We booked online and when we arrived on Friday afternoon to check in the price was $70 higher. We were told the manager was off until Monday so they couldn't match our online price. We would have to wait until Monday to see what the manager said even though we had the confirmation on our phone and a printed copy.

Unfortunately our stay was terrible. I would have chose the location across the street but I went based on reviews. We arrived at 3:00 and asked to be checked in they said it would be an extra $25 we would need to wait till 3:30. Once we got in the room it smelled and the AC was leaking before we even adjusted it. This continued through the stay. The rug was soppy 2 feet out. We then tried to use the laundry facilities and put key worked to get in once we headed back to our room our key was no longer working. It was 7:30 so we left our phones in our room. We had to be at work at 11. We went to the front desk no one was available. The staff left a sign “assisting another customer will be back soon. We waited 20 minutes with no choice. Security finally came in and asked if we had been helped. We said no. She continued to the break room where we could hear the front desk staff. We rang the bell several times but they didn’t return for another 20 minutes. The staff was unprofessional and unapologetic. There was never anyone at the front desk. The only staff member who was working and friendly was the gentleman in housekeeping/ groundskeeping. I do not recommend.
