We were buying products and had a store tote, yet we were profiled for stealing as the owners walked up to everything we touched to make sure we weren’t taking items. Would not return due to the profiling my partner and I faced here.

Clean store.
They have Japanese cheesecake.
Seaweed is a great price, cheaper than Costco and H Mart.

I’ve been coming here since they opened but recently every time I come there’s always an associate following me. There’s other people on the store but it’s like they think I’m gonna steal.
I brought my son and he dropped a container and the older man and older lady immediately ran over and started talking to each other and when I called them out for following me. The man started “fixing up” the aisle I was standing in, he was literally straightening up nothing. I was on the phone with my husband telling him what happened, and the workers walked away when they heard me say something about being followed.
Only giving them higher than one star bc the younger cashier was very polite and talked to me and my son like we’re actual customers. Maybe treat your customers like customers instead of thieves.

It's a nice hidden gem that has more things than others (they have my favorite mints that other competitors don't have, photo below they're so good) I went on a weekday after taking a test to get my favorite Mintia Mints. I was comfortable even as they were stocking. The spaces can feel a little cramped though but it's manageable!
Go in, look around & think about it! Also maintain a budget when coming in you can get carried away easily!
Georgia is diverse, Gwinnett is diverse. They should be expecting people from every background, you'll be fine. Just be respectful! I'm Mexican & I never have an issue coming here or anywhere else.
As for the 'following customers' it's not as true as you think, I worked retail and sometimes I did the same thing trying to check to see if customers came in or if they need to check out (especially when stocking). I do have self-awareness but they're just doing their job & you have all the right to be in the store and as long as you don't steal you'll be fine.

I bought a boxed kitchen item from this store and quickly checked the top of the item to make sure that it was not damaged along the rim before I bought it. It was seemingly good so I bought the item and left the store. I checked it more thoroughly in my car and found a huge scuff across the side of the product, so I went back in to ask if I could return it. Their return policy is so strict that once you leave the store, you cannot return the item. I don’t care if you look suspicious opening up a box in the store, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that everyone should take the items out of the box first to examine them before they buy it because Ebisu will screw you over if you’re not careful enough. I highly recommend shopping at Tesolife instead; not only is their return policy not as strict, but they have a wider selection of Japanese goods and activities to do in the store like claw machines.

The store is good but they will advertise prices different than what they charge. I got different "specials " and they charged them a higher price
Just watch out for the price and your receipt as well
Because just to confusion they will place different names in your receipt
