I am extremely disappointed with the service at this location. I visited the store twice with the intention of purchasing six cases of 8-piece cut-up chicken. Unfortunately, both times they were out of stock. I was advised by staff near the exit to call ahead, as I live an hour away, to ensure the product would be available. However, despite multiple attempts to reach them by phone, no one ever answers. It is highly unprofessional to maintain a business phone line if calls are not being answered. This lack of customer service is incredibly frustrating and needs immediate attention.

I love this place. If you own a restaurant, You'll appreciate the great prices for produce, poultry, and especially seafood. The cashiers there are super nice. I go there daily and don't understand the bad reviews pertaining to customer service. Perhaps the one's complaining are rude themselves. I've never had a negative experience. If you have a restaurant, skip restaurant depot, that place is a mess, and go to metro chef.

I went here today and looked at the sample for a plastic bowl displayed on the shelves. That is the sample so I opened the tape to look inside to make sure I buy the right one. But someone from the store came out and said very rudely and in loud voice that I could not open it. So what are samples for if we cannot open it. Just a plastic bowl with lids and tape. We can always put the tape back. Their attitude is so rude. Never be back again.

The staff here is such rude and impolite,especially in seafood department,totally awful,not enjoying shopping in this place, the fruit is terrible and moldy,although it is cheap , but if you got sick after you ate it , it will cause big problems

Bad service in seafood section😔 the the guy worked in the seafood, have no respect to the customer at all and talking bad in Spanish😔 I think they have problem.

It's similar to Costco, but carries Asian goods instead. They give you the option to buy individual units or entire cases. It seems to mainly cater to restaurants because they offer to-go boxes and disposable utensils.
- The produce are prepackaged and are set to a flat price, but they don't indicate the weight. I have to go to the checkout and ask them for permission to use the scale. It's a hassle. I prefer Jusgo, Hong Kong Market, City Farmer's Market, and Great Wall for produce.
- The seafood, meat and pantry items are what draws me to MetroChef because the prices in these categories tend to be cheaper than most grocery stores.
- They don't bag the item at checkout. They don't offer bags, period.
- You don't have to unload the items at the checkout. The cashier simply goes to your cart and scan them.
- The hours tend to be shorter during holidays

The place is busy, fairly clean. My main concern is that it is hard to get assistance. I spent unnecessary time looking for things. I asked the staff about the item I was searching, they pointed me to the location and said someone should be able to help me when I got there, but there wasn’t anyone there to help. Otherwise prices were okay, similar to other stores alike.

Jenny and Bhuddi were excellent. I forgot my wallet and they held my stuff until I returned. The staff is very kind and the store is incredible. The service is amazing. Great price and selection. I recommend this store all the time to everyone

Shop here all the time, and notice lately all the price went up high and a lot of veggies has no sign to show prices, at the seafood area. Today find oyster tube on sale , grab couple , at checkout ring up original price, I taken a picture to show the cashier the sign of the tube, went to the seafoods area, the worker said customer put the sign there, and not this one but don’t have the sign for the regular price. I asked that’s the only sign there showing the name and price, he pick it up and tear it up and said there is no sign now you couldn’t proof it. I told him I already had the picture for it. The cashier told me nothing she can do, and called the manager over and said this is a jar not tube so it’s not the same price and not going to Honor it. I am very disappointed there customer service and pricing technique. I use to recommends alot of ppls shop there bc of the seafoods and great beef tender prices. Now I don’t think I will be going there as much as I use to.
