My name is M. Smith, I recently rented a storage unit from bolt storage, late last night. It was right before dark when I got to my unit for the first time to check it out, before I started to move stuff in. When I arrived I couldn’t get in the code wasn’t working properly that I have been given. So I had to call the after hours customer service to get help to get in the gate. The lady I spoke to was super nice and helpful. She gave me another to get in without any problems. Then once I got in to unit I was assigned & the handle has been damaged from someone in the past. Again I had to call customer service to asked if they could assign me to another unit, due to the handle being damaged. I couldn’t open or close it good, it was very frustrating and difficult to close. Again the lady I spoke with was super helpful and told me to go to another unit and check it out to make sure everything was good and she would assign me to that unit. Customer service was very helpful and nice, thank you so much for everything & understanding! Here’s why the handle looked like!

Based on my experience with this company and break-in at another of thier properties, I would stay far away. They have no regard for thier customers and show no willingness to offer any real assistance. Find any other storage company if possible.

We rented the storage unit across from Ace hardware with bolt storage before it changed hands. Suddenly we get a letter that tells us, not ask us if we are expecting a price increase. Also they wanted to slap extra money on for insurance but I used my homeowners policy to get that taken off. The worst part is I repeatedly told them that my unit had standing water in front of it and that leaves were constantly getting in when the door was closed. There was trash laying in the parking lot and I cleaned up several times just to try to be helpful but at the end of the day that was a terrible experience to pay nearly $100 a month?4 something that was previously $65 a month?? Therefore I do not recommend that you waste your money?. Just go rent a pay by the month backyard barn and you'll have something when you're finished?? A concerned local professional??

15 days ago I advised the office staff at Ellijay Storage I had a rat in provide, and was told I have an insurance policy everyone got as basic plan. I was offered pellets, and told to inform staff if I see any more evidence to which I did 2 days later. The same employee advised me at that point without ever looking up my account that I did not have any insurance and didn't know what I was talking about when I reminded her she just informed me otherwise 2 days prior. We have 2 units and have had for close to 2 years paid over 5k. I then called a different location to check into moving my units and was told again all units have mandatory insurance at all locations. I explained the situation and was told the D.M. would be calling. Never called. Next day, never called. The same night we were making up bags for the children weve collected toys shows and clothes for over the past year who have lost a parent to covid, we heard some commotion and a drawer. What I saw when that drawer was open was not what I expected whatsoever, and unfortunately has destroyed several weeks worth of hard work collecting these items to be able to provide kids that don't have means for a decent Christmas. In the video you'll see what was inside of my drawer and of course I still had not gotten a call back from the office or the district manager. The following day I did receive a voicemail from the manager saying that she just got my call on my voice message that I left 15 days prior. I also recvd a call from the office person who's given the misinformation who then accused my boyfriend and I of being liars, arguing with me, contradicting her story each time, not realizing I have a video of her informing me we didn't have insurance captured by my dash camera and since I work for an attorney I also have records of all communication with this office. It is very disheartening to know that I'm not having to start over due to the excessive amount of damage within my brats and also the roses station I've gotten from the time I purchased my rental agreement almost two years ago. We have put hundreds of hours into this project job for both my boyfriend and I we unfortunately are going to have to start from scratch and I hope that we can somehow figure out a way to provide 10 children who lost a parent to covid with a Christmas we had already promised.

Security gate hasn't worked since I rented the unit five days ago. There was a one-time administrative fee of $15 to set up the account, which they should have told me when I called and asked about rates. The latch on the unit's rolling door is very difficult to close. Those should be updated. The facility is adequate, but I would rate it below average.
