“Had a lovely time at R & A Orchards. The place has such a huge selection of fresh produce, baked goods, jams, snacks, and local treats that it was honestly hard not to keep picking things up. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and you can tell it’s a popular stop for both locals and visitors.
Only small thing I noticed was that some of the tomatoes didn’t seem the freshest on the day I visited. Other than that, the overall experience was really enjoyable and definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.”
“Like a lot of stores in this area this store is what I would call a family generational store. Mack and his brother Jake inherited the family farm. They decided to split up the farm into two sections. So Mack ran this farm and his brother down the road ran the other store called Aaron's.
There is a lot to see here and their inventory is very interesting. They have paintings made by an artist that lives in Tennessee. The man working there the day we came in was very friendly and helpful. And, we enjoyed chatting with him about the history of the store.
The store is clean and packed with some interesting items for sale. Of course there is always something here that the kids will be interested in having dad buy for them.
Plenty of parking.”
“Best and freshest apple pies ever! Being diabetic, Pendants apple pies never shoot my blood sugar up and the baked apples in their pies are always crunchy vs.. soggy and sugar-laden like store-bought apple pies.”
“First time. Selections were good. I wanted to try the fried pies. I chose an apple and a cream cheese. I was disappointed.
The filling was very scarce, the pie thin. The taste bland. I did not find it appealing or worth the 4 dollar price. Would not order again.”
“The corn relish is amazing. Stopped here on a family trip and fell in love with the whole farm. Everything tastes amazing, the family are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Apples were fresh in the box and they even have some friendly animals outback. Seriously addicted to the corn relish.”
