The representative, David Smith, in Atlanta was not always very responsive to my need for boxes. He does not respond to my texts concerning the adjustment to my final cost. He always had an excuse for not delivering boxes in a timely manner. I had to buy most of my boxes. Now the guy who organized the moving of my furniture did an outstanding job. He and his team of men worked beautifully and extremely efficiently in packing up my heavy furniture. He also came to my new house and orchestrated the delivery of my furniture. All parts were carefully labeled and I am finding putting the furniture back together rather easy since parts were labeled correctly. I don’t recall his name though.

Great service. Professional and accommodating. Moving is stressful and Coleman Allied’s team made it easier.

I decided to choose Allied-Coleman, encouraged in part by the knowledge that people often share negative experiences more frequently than positive ones. With an open mind, I embarked on this journey, hoping for the best but prepared for challenges. What Impressed Me:The claims process was notably efficient. I found that compensation was handled swiftly and without unnecessary delay. What Went Wrong:Unexpectedly, my move was canceled on the scheduled day, causing significant disruption to my plans. The move was outsourced multiple times, leading to confusion and a lack of accountability. (First to North-American, then to Motherload.)Promises of finding an alternative driver within 24-48 hours went unfulfilled, requiring me to take an active role in ensuring the move's progress. My salesperson Brian at Allied-Coleman, though initially seeming accessible, was regrettably unresponsive, with follow-ups taking anywhere from 24 to 72 hours. If they occurred at all.The physical handling of my belongings was disappointing, with damages necessitating nearly $5,000 in compensation on a $6,000 move. The lack of follow-through from my salesperson, Brian, and an unclear role of my move coordinator left me feeling unsupported. I am actually not sure what the coordinated since I did all the coordinating myself.Encounters with staff, including what I believe was the warehouse manager, Jason, were less than satisfactory, marked by rudeness and a lack of assistance.Despite repeated assurances during the sales process, there was no direct communication from the driver regarding the scheduling of delivery or confirmation of item pickup; awareness of the move's progress was only achieved tracking an AirTag. Furthermore, on delivery day, the driver arrived with only one assistant, significantly hampering the efficiency and ease of moving items into my residence. The condition of some items upon arrival, including boxes chewed through by rodents, highlighted concerns with storage. Droppings were also left in my boxes.A significant oversight occurred with the crating of a particular item; my move coordinator did not inform me that it was my responsibility to arrange for someone at the delivery destination to uncrate it. This lack of communication led to unnecessary delays, as I waited in expectation for a follow-up that was never planned.Communication and coordination were significant issues throughout the process, with commitments for follow-up often unmet. In reflection, while Allied-Coleman presents itself as a smooth operator in the moving industry, my experience underscores the reality of navigating such a complex process. It was disheartening to find that the support promised at every stage was lacking, leaving me to manage much of the move single-handedly.My move coordinator mentioned being overwhelmed, a sentiment that perhaps explains some of the challenges, but also highlights a broader issue of resource allocation within the company. My experience with Allied-Coleman was profoundly disappointing, compelling me to state that I would not choose their services again. Each phase of the process—from initial coordination to the final execution—fell short of expectations. Interactions with various employees (Jason, Brian, Jekia, and Tianna) consistently failed to meet the professional standards and support one would anticipate from a company of their standing.

Received 3 quotes from Allied, United and Mayflower. Allied came in significantly less and after discussing storage options with the sales guy Dave, decided to rent our own unit which saved us a lot of money. So we went with Allied. However when driver showed up he Immediately noted that he was not sent with enough boxes to pack our belongings and therefore had to call main office to have more boxes brought up from Fairburn which with ATL traffic ended up taking a few hours. Also the truck that was sent had another clients delivery in the front so all of our stuff would not fit. They had to send another truck the following day to load up the remainder.Clearly Dave grossly underestimated our belongings to be packed and the amount to be loaded. All of our stuff would have fit into one truck. Then we were charged another 3k to make up for the cost that David under estimated. Now it makes sense why United and Mayflower were higher….. they accurately estimated our job. Regret not going with them now.So the good news is our driver Reggie who was in charge of first shipment was amazing and professional and honest! He stayed in communication with us the whole process. I would give him 5 stars. Some of the packing was a little sloppy thou and they left a few items behind like my printer for example and a few bins which I just had to load in my own car. The first shipment dropped off by Reggie to storage unit went smoothly. He was on time and again was good at letting us know his ETA.Our 2nd shipment we were told by David and driver would probably be delivered 5 days later on Tuesday. However on Thursday evening got a call saying they would be at storage unit at 9am the next morning! We were flying out of town and could not be there until Tuesday which was the day we were told and the response was oh well too bad we will have to charge you for storage ?In the end David waived the storage fees but the responses and the poor attitude of the customer service people that worked in the office was awful. They were rude inflexible and very dismissive! Because of the incompetence and the need for 2 deliveries this cost us more money and time as we had to drive an hour ea way to meet the truck.I cannot recommend this company and although I cannot say whether the other companies are better I do wish I went with United or Mayflower

From the beginning of the process David was very good in covering all details with us. The move itself with Chris, B and Tyrone were amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure everything made it to the destination safely and without any breakage. If I ever have to move again I would want to have Chris and B to do the move for us.

The movers were all very helpful and hard working. It appears we are missing one box containing lamp bases and shades. Move was completed one week ago and we have been in contact with the driver (‘Art’).

This was an interstate move from Atlanta to Michigan. When the driver arrived he informed me his first pick up had about 2k pounds more than expected, but thought they could fit all of my things on the truck. He also said another truck was ready, if there was overflow and of course there was. What he didn’t tell me, and what I didn’t find out until the first truck arrived to deliver my things 3 days later, is that the overflow was being stored in Atlanta until another truck makes its way north. It’s been a week and no one can tell me when that will be. Most of my plastic bins ( used for things I keep in storage) had the tops smashed in from too much weight on top of them. What was super frustrating was the lack of communication. Had I known, I could have rescheduled for when one truck could take my things in one trip.Upon delivery, a local team was hired to unload and assemble…the dining room chair legs were put on wrong, the sofa and ottoman legs were swapped and they didn’t finish my desk.I reached out to my sales consultant 2 days later, but still have had no response to my concerns or when I can expect to receive the rest of my things. In addition, I was promised all the furniture pieces would be wrapped in pads and plastic, several just had pads with rubber bands holding them on. They also say they partner with a food bank for any pantry items I wanted to set aside to donate. Although I had it set up to take and asked about it a couple times, they did not.I’ve moved multiple times, and this has been the worst experience.

Worse of the 7 long distance moves I have had including 2 international moves. Despite repeated attempts I could not get a delivery date. They finally called about 14 hrs before the unscheduled delivery and I was 700 miles away. Arranged for friends to be there between 8-10am as requested. They were a no show. Called me after 10 saying they got a late start. Arranged for my friends to return. Mover broke 5 legs out of 8 on bedside cabinets and cracked cabinet housing. This was my first time using them and will not be using them again.

This company was an absolute disaster and provided a terrible moving experience. I wish we had never chosen them to help us with our move. Every single aspect of the process was done poorly and the workers were unprofessional, disgruntled, and shady. The contract is written so that you’re out of luck no matter the outcome of your experience. We ended up having to load items ourselves because the drive didn’t hire a moving crew and kept threatening to dump our items on the side of the road. Allied says there is nothing they can do to adjust the price we paid. Countless times broken and I’ve only opened a few boxes. Items were split into two loads and driver tried to have me sign off that I had received everything already. Very shady. Stay away

The movers broke numerous furniture items, there was no communication about delivery time and driver didn't speak English. Loaders were not Allied, just lowest bid movers in the area with no skin in the game. I chose Allied and paid much more for their name, but that was a mistake.

While most of my belongings were moved professionally, an expensive computer part, the GPU, was stolen out of my pc during the transit to my new home. Because as a “whole” the pc made it to the new place they denied my insurance claim for this theft of over $600 from my things. While this remains unresolved I cannot in good conscience recommend this company- your valuables will be stolen and they will avoid paying out for it through loophole.
