I called to set up a delivery and was signed up for some kind of program for $99 which guarantees the price for some period - I buy gas ONE time per year, AND STATED THIS TO THE CUSTOMER REP, so this program is useless to me. I called and, after much trying to convince me not to, got that cancelled. After that was fixed, I received FOUR automated calls stating that delivery would be the next day, but it did not happen on any of those days. A few days after the last call I got an invoice for $59 stating that gas had been delivered. NO TRUCK had been on my property - verified by security camera. I called to get that straightened out and was told to call back in 48 hours to verify that it was fixed. Called back after 48 hours and the problem was still not fixed. First level customer support insisted I needed to pay - requested to speak with a supervisor, customer rep was reluctant but, after a half dozen requests, gave in. I talked to a supervisor who said that the charge would be removed. Called after 48 hours and found the charge had been removed. At that point I told customer support rep to CANCEL THE DELIVERY and CLOSE MY ACCOUNT. The following Sunday evening I received an automated call notifying me that delivery would be made next day. I called on Monday and AGAIN told customer rep to CANCEL THE DELIVERY and CLOSE MY ACCOUNT. I was assured that delivery was cancelled and my account was closed. Was told that I'd receive an email stating that my account was closed, within 24 hours - have yet to receive that email after 2 days. So long as I have a choice, I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AMERIGAS!!! I have neither the time nor the inclination to deal with a company where the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing and those in the middle could care less. You can bet your last dollar that I have been, and will continue, to spread the word regarding my experience!

Ordered propane via call center, person was kind but difficult to communicate with because of language barrier. Was charged leak test fee, unnecessarily, but was told to call back to get it refunded after propane is delivered. Propane was delivered promptly by nice local man. Have called twice and still have not received refund for leak test although they say they're sending a check through the mail. Will not use this company again, it was just too much hassle.

AmeriGas notified me when they were coming, showed up as promised, and unless I hadn’t been looking out my front door I would have never known they were there. My tank got filled and I got a notification afterwards. Easy!

Technicians are great but this company needs to hire more of them. It took 3 weeks to get my pigtail screw fixed because they kept changing my appointment due to lack of technicians. This company then tried to charge me for fixing the screw that the gas delivery guy broke it. It was my first time using this company and it has been frustrating.

The delivery was made very quickly after I requested for it online. The gentlemen took the time to release the air from my tanks and proceeded to top off my tanks. It was a quick and easy task.

I really appreciate the convenience of auto- delivery. My main complaint is lack of transparency on the cost of propane. I find it very difficult to obtain a price and I’m not sure why propane companies don’t list prices on a website.

Horrible customer service. I do not recommend. I called in for service due to pilot not staying lit. I received notice that someone would be out within a week. This is a totally unacceptable delay since I had no way to cook, no heat and no hot water. I diagnosed and made the repair myself. Two months later I get a call to ask if anyone came out. I have closed my account with amerigas and I will not purchase from them ever again. Avoid them like the plague.

Every time I order, it takes weeks for a delivery. It never comes by the date promised. Everyone is rude and foreign when I call. I hate your company and would honestly spend the money to swap the tank out if I had it. I’ve reported you to the BBB. I’ve left negative reviews. I would never recommend your company to ANYONE

It took over 30 days to receive my gas. After the expected delivery passed, I started calling almost every day. Talked with many incompetent reps and two competent who gave me correct information and help to get my gas from lost in space to my tank. Actual delivery drivers were very nice. Your Customer Service stinks!

Like other reviewers, I would leave zero stars if that was possible. The customer service at Amerigas has all but disappeared. I have requested 2 deliveries in the past 4 months, and Amerigas has missed the agreed upon dates both times. I did finally get a delivery for the first order, 25 days after I requested it. I am still waiting for the second order, we are at 20 days now. In both cases I doubt I would have received a delivery at all if I hadn't called multiple times and bugged the call center people. I have requested that I be contacted by a manager or director, by anyone with authority and ability to make meaningful changes, but never hear a word. Their call center staff, which appears to be offshored based on their accents, is not empowered at all and just reads from a script. They will give you a bunch of platitudes, but never follow through.Find another gas company, you can do better than Amerigas.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. If you are a business and depend on service from Amerigas then I suggest that you look for a local owned company with customer service who will actually follow through on what they tell there customers. I didn't get service to our business for over a month. I called everyday for a week and each day speaking to a manager that stated an emergency would be coming the next day due to the lack of service, and yet no one ever showed. I continued to get the same answer everyday no service. We had used this company for many years, but in the last year service is unreliable. I found service with a local propane company who setup a new account in a few minutes, provided service the next day, and has been consistent each day and has the same customer service representatives any time I call. They ended up being a lot cheaper as well. Now it has been two months and I still can't get Amerigas to pickup their cage or their tanks on our property.

My wife had to call 3 different times to get out automated delivery moved up. None of the three would allow her to speak to a supervisor! One hung up on her!The customer service in your business is surely lacking! I got an email when my tank hit 30% saying I would receive a tank fill up in a few days. After 12 days, I checked online when we fell under 20% and we were scheduled for a fill up in 13 days. I would call 25 days a few weeks, not a few days. Temps were going into the mid 20s for 2 straight nights the end of the week, meaning my furnace would run 12 to 14 hours a day. Not sure why you would not want to keep a customer happy and move delivery up for 2/3 days instead of 13. Better get better service or I am gonna tell AmeriGas Adios!

I originally requested a propane gas delivery around December 28th, 2022, and received a confirmation of an estimated delivery date between December 29, 2022 and January 9, 2023. It is now January 17, 2023 and we have still not had our propane gas delivered, nor have we received an updated time frame. I have made 4 or 5 phone calls and have been told that my delivery would be expedited quickly and that I would be receiving an updated message within 24 hours confirming the expedited delivery, but nothing at all is happening the way that customer service is saying that it will. There has been absolutely no update or action of any kind. I am feeling as if we have been totally forgotten and as if we don't exist to this company. It didn't used to be like this. Something has really changed and it is not for the good . . .

If I can leave No stars I would! I requested a refill For my tank in October-they didn’t show 3 days into the week scheduled.I paid for an emergency service since I take care of my elderly mother at $300……still no show! I cancelled my service with them on October 31st 2022 due to the lack of not showing up as scheduled with an emergency charge and requested they remove the tank of my property…….the tank has yet to be removed and as of today it’s January 9,2023. I’ve called each month making the requests and still no one showsup or calls to confirm the removal of the tank-as customer service instructs me will happen. And of course no managers can speak to me nor call me back!

Never ever ever do business with these people! "Escalate" is a word they throw around and it means absolutely nothing! I even emailed them before leaving this review, per their canned response on here, with zero results. We started the process on 11/28/22 with 8% in our tank and it is now 12/29/22 and we are at 0% after having gone through below freezing temps for many days in a row! We called every single day with the same response of "you will have gas within 24 hours". How many times can you be told that same lie? Plus their customer service is overseas so all they can do is leave a note on your account which is obviously never read. We even drove to their office which doesn't even exist in Fairburn! It's just a refilling facility. Please choose another company. I have never left a bad review in my life but I'm telling you to avoid Amerigas! Their voicemail says they have "made improvements to serve us better" which is just another lie :(
